So "owning the libs" is all that would benefit us? How is that in any way a serious position?

The way I see it, every time something like this happens, a few more of those people will suicide, become drug addicted, become clinically mentally ill and so forth. Therefore, there are simply less of them.

By contrast, when they win, these same things will happen, but only to people more aligned with us instead.

Of course I want the negativity to be in their camp, especially since the only alternative is that it ends up in our general camp. Someone will always be unhappy; better them than us.

Obviously, if what you summarize as 'owning the libs' was read as hinting at some kind of perceived solution, that was not the intent.
