I wouldn't touch it, 8kun is ran by a total fed and infested with Qoomers

I see.

Yeah the smaller hobby ones are decent but /pol/ has been ruined by conservative shills. /biz/ and /k/ have been garbage too lately.

/pol/ has all sorts of major problems even beyond the conservative issue. I don't know anything about /biz/ or /k/ though.

/pol/ has made me realize dead internet theory is 110% real

Is this the view that the glory days of a free internet are behind us?

No it's that the majority of interactions on the internet are artificial, with most users being literal bots. It's the idea that the internet today is a ghost town.

I haven't heard about that one before. I think /pol/ definitely has a lot of actual professional shills and bots that sabotage the board. I don't think I have seen that in the same way anywhere else, though.

Have you been to reddit lately?

Oh, good point, but it's difficult to tell apart the volunteer shills from the professional shills there. The power mod issue is certainly something worth investigating. At least prior to the chapo ban though, most of the terrible left wing spam on that website was posted by unpaid chapocel volunteers.

I agree there's a different dynamic on reddit because you dont really need shills as much when you can just censor any and all counter views. Inevitably the herd will simply adopt the prevailing view left standing, and even defend it to the death because ultimately humans are stupid pack animals. Most chapocels are immature spoiled overly socialized hedonists that will adopt whatever position they think will get them laid and grease the skids of their social life.

I honestly haven't been able to stomach that place since like late 2019. I can only hold an account for a few days at a time before being suspended anyway.
