Majority of Americans support going to war with Russia and China over Ukraine and Taiwan respectively

These Americans would be in for a real shock if they ever had to fight the Chinese or Russians in a war. It would be a bit different from blasting a bunch of afghan goat herders with ac-130s and then returning to base in time to play xbox and down a pizza from the base food court. Not to mention both countries could incinerate a majority of the US population in a couple hours and leave the rest of the country an irradiated wasteland. Not exactly most people's view of glory.

Most likely the people who carried out this poll get their funding from wealthy neocons, and it's results are completely suspect.

I don't think so. Fighting a conventional war again would be so nice, militaristically speaking, we're really good at those.

And it's the most well trained force that ever existed. Those other armies just drill. The American War Machine has been doing live practice for decades. We actually know war.

I have very little faith in the world's aging nuclear ICBMs. I believe it exists more as a threat than something that can actually be deployed.

Fighting Russia would be dumb, they're so poor. What would we benefit? China though, I don't like China's ambitions.

We WERE good at those. Like 3/4 of a century ago.

And it's the most well trained force that ever existed. Those other armies just drill. The American War Machine has been doing live practice for decades. We actually know war.

It's been pulling occupation duty for 20 years, which actually dulls those skills needed in a conventional war against a modern army. Plus this woke shit and rampant racial grievance politics is absolute poison for any military organization, it is completely cancerous to morale, discipline, toughness, and competence, so we are in completely uncharted territory.

Are you willing to bet civilization on that assumption? Even if half the arsenal doesnt work it would still be completely devastating.

Russia isnt 30 trillion dollars in debt, and the Russians are famous for making do with less, pretty much the opposite of Americans even before we became a country of manlet bugmen and hedonists. As for who would benefit, probably no one, but that never stopped the neocons before(well actually Israel did benefit).

I would if I could, but civilization isn't at stake. Nukes are just big bombs, there's already been over 500 detonated in the atmosphere and we're still here. Nuclear winter was just Soviet propaganda. It'll hurt, but it's not an insurmountable weapon.
