Funny how they conflate colored statues, namely the clothing being colored, as somehow being connected with "people of color" (that all have black hair and black eyes).

This is obviously fallacious as those two things are not mutually exclusive. Having pride in one thing doesn't mean you can't have pride in another thing. This argument basically boils down to a high/low, low/high comparison, i.e. dumb people that have no accomplishments to be proud about will look externally while smart people who do have accomplishments will be more critical of their nations alleged accomplishments. Quite the midwit take, which isn't particularly surprising given the person quoting it.
