If this fred red beans guy doesn't check this box himself, I might report the saidit website to the authorities in Denmark and get it banned. Definitely worse content on here that is against the law than was on bitchute when it got banned. I recommend others to do the same in other countries, I can't imagine the authorities in UK, Germany or France likes most of the content on here and with covid emergency laws, they might have no choice but to ban this "radicalizing misinformation website", right?

I mean this website is quite dangerous, when I think about it. What was it that I read about the jews the other day, and covid and vaccines? That kind of misinformation is fueling incel terrorism.

Where are we moving to after the ban?

If we get back on /s/all, i might not have the time to report the website to the authorities, you know?

I think in general, we should start adopting a scorched earth policy.

I could be wrong but I don't think the content is as much of a problem as the front page /s/All being dominated by a single community sub.

IMO, the solution is to post topical content in other topical feeds. Spread your community, but do it reasonably and rationally rather than just spreading out chaotically to take over. Ideally most folks wouldn't notice any difference to the content, just more activity on the variety of subs on the front page.

Scorched earth is juvenile.

If that's really the issue that /u/magnora7 and /u/fred_red_beans has with DAR then that's easily solved. Just limit DAR and other active communities to a certain number of s/all spots a day.

I think you will find though that limiting our visibility is a political attack and a financial decision. The goal many reddit competitor sites like this has it to get big enough to go 'mainstream' and catch some big time funding from angel investor types. There's no way to do that if you have 'unapproved' conversations going on. You'd think that would wake young entrepreneurs in the tech industry like /u/magnora7 up to the real high finance crooked central banking power players we are dealing with here but alas it does not. Or (and this is a possibility) /u/magnora7 is totally aware of the small hats and totally aware that they need to be protected. Joe Rogan knows this. Tucker knows this. Everyone making the big bucks in media knows this. The choice is clear. Time for everyone to pick a side. Truth or 30 pieces of silver.

IMO, the solution is to post topical content in other topical feeds.

I respectfully disagree with this. We are not going to tolerate a biased playing field. Saidit is dying and DAR leaving will accelerate that death. We don't need saidit; saidit needs us.

Spread your community, but do it reasonably and rationally rather than just spreading out chaotically to take over

By doing that we are condoing and helping to grow a site that is biased against dissident voices. We are not asking for extra favors. We simply want the same treatment that other subverses get.

rather than just spreading out chaotically to take over

We never really did this. Our growth was organic. We never purposely tried to dominate saidit.

Scorched earth is juvenile.

I'm just trying to look out for the best interest of my discussion community. If we are hidden from new users we will shrink and fade away. The whole point is a place for outsiders to ask us questions and debate. That purpose is not being served under the current regime.

Just limit DAR and other active communities to a certain number of s/all spots a day.

Exactly. Sadly that requires coding.

This is the reason why we need to decentralize so that we don't need to beg for permission or features from someone who likely can't code much, nor bothers to gauge what the people want, instead just laying down arbitrary laws.

I think you will find though that limiting our visibility is a political attack and a financial decision.

You may perceive it that way but it's not. SaidIt started as AntiExtremes.com and is core to the general values of SaidIt. Whether it's the Alt-Right or Iron Left, M7 didn't want any subs to dominate /s/All, least of all extremist ideological subs. The ultimate goal: neutrality where rational people may judge for themselves.

The goal many reddit competitor sites like this has it to get big enough to go 'mainstream' and catch some big time funding from angel investor type big players.

I often wonder/ed what M7's ultimate motives were/are. If his dream was to sell out then he's as shitty at that as he is at managing or leading. IMO, it's clear he's not doing it for the money. I think he's primarily doing it for the community and secondly for his ego, with an alias of a person and face we'll never know.

Tucker and Rogan are limited hangouts.

We are not going to tolerate a biased playing field.

You mean an even playing field for all views. Your intolerance is bias, extremist at that.

We don't need saidit; saidit needs us.

Debatable, as "need" is also moot.

We never purposely tried to dominate saidit.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I've always appreciated and respected that.

I'm just trying to look out for the best interest of my discussion community. If we are hidden from new users we will shrink and fade away. The whole point is a place for outsiders to ask us questions and debate. That purpose is not being served under the current regime.

All of that is admirable.

I'm usually full of creative ideas but on this front I don't have much. This might be worth stepping out of your bubble to post something in /s/AskSaidIt seeking solutions. Meanwhile, I have a manual hack proposal that might be worth trying and/or may even suffice for a while...

Create a new sub: /s/DAR_Daily_Top_3. (Perhaps make it restricted so everyone can see it but none can comment and none can post in it but you. This should help drive the conversation to DAR.) Every day you manually repost the top three posts from /s/DebateAltRight in it and they will show up in /s/All where they may compete with the other content. That competition may or may not be sufficient, but you could take one further step and back in /s/DebateAltRight you can repost the reposts (collected seems better than individually) so your folks may boost up awareness of your community and the content of the top posts.

If you had someone with bot-writing skills you could automate this/these process(es), in which case I'd request and implore you to label it with "bot" in the name. (ie. /u/DAR_Daily_Top_3_Bot) Not all bots are bad, but I think all bots should be labelled. This saves people from wasting time talking to it.

FYI: "repost" = "cross-post". Just as I recently re-cross-posted to DAR with the /s/Cassy questions.

Actions have consequences

[–]JasonCarswellVoluntaryist 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (16 children)

Yes they do.

If you're referring to scorched earth, it's simply not a justification.

If you're referring to something else, you've lost me.

Yes, I am.

Why not? Just saying so is not an argument

[–]JasonCarswellVoluntaryist 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (14 children)

Scorched earth is not a phrase used to convey authentic defensive measures (the "Department of Defense" is newspeak). Thus you mean scorched earth as a destructive measure.

Burned bridges by intent, accident, or just irreconcilable differences are a part of life, but intentional destruction is never good. Regardless what you mean by it or what repercussions may or may not fall out from it, it's simply a waste of time and energy. Better to just cut losses and walk away.

[–]DragonerneJesus is white 1 insightful - 3 fun1 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 3 fun -  (13 children)

Thus you mean scorched earth as a destructive measure.

Scorched earth is a destructive measure against anyone who opposes us. Admins want to ban us from saidit? I say, let's get saidit banned from European countries for hate speech, covid laws etc. Other websites gets taken down for less than what's on saidit, so if the admins want to play cancel culture with us, then we should not just turn the other cheek but return fire.

[–]JasonCarswellVoluntaryist 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (12 children)

Ya, tribalism isn't my bag.

There's only one enemy as far as I'm concerned: anyone above us applying pressure. Sure you need to pick your battles as all things are rigged in the system, but it's pretty safe to say punching up is the only way to fight without harming fellow humans.

Cancel culture is being waged and dictated from above - the MSM, technocracy, corporatocracy, and governments.

SaidIt and the admins are not your enemy, even if some wear may wear an asshat now and then.

If you get SaidIt banned you're punishing ALL SaidIt users and if they find out then you'll be their enemy, just as much as the real enemies: government, big pharma, CIA, Mossad, and Zionist shills. Keep your eyes on the real targets so when you do return fire you can be more effective.

[–]DragonerneJesus is white 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (11 children)

SaidIt and the admins are not your enemy

If saidit and the admins decide to ban DAR, then they are my enemies and DAR users should start applying scorched earth tactics. It is very easy to report websites under covid. At least in Denmark, the police doesn't even have to go through the courts. They can just take the website down.

If you get SaidIt banned you're punishing ALL SaidIt users and if they find out then you'll be their enemy

I'm not their enemy but admin actions have consequences. If the saidit users have a problem with the consequences, then I suggest they get the admin to change his actions.

[–]JasonCarswellVoluntaryist 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (10 children)

So you would blame all Chinese or Russians for their oppressive governments which they have no control over? If you're American should I blame you for all the evil shit your government Empire does? Should I blame you for ZOG? Give me a break. The users are distinct from the admins and should not be demonized with pre-crime for things they haven't done or problems they had nothing to do with.
