If you didn't obsess over Thomas the tank engine as a adult then your not actually autistic.

I would suggest obsessing over the Burlington Northern and real trains subsumes Thomas the Tank engine. Oh and G1 transformers.

Were you into real trains, rather than goofy anthropomorphic caricatures of trains? That's is my litmus test....

This describes me as a kid pretty well. I used to devote alot of time thinking how to fight off an alien invasion.

Luckily, I lived in a time when entertainment was still good. Rather than the complete garbage that kids are exposed to today.

I was also lucky to live in a time when boys could get in school yard fights and not get expelled from school. I got into so many scraps, it wasn't even funny. That shit would never fly today.

This was me. Every day as I child I devoted most of of my mental effort into figuring out how to survive in the wilderness. I was absolutely certain my future was going to be living in a cabin I built myself. I don't know a lot of non white children that have these types of obsessions about building, surviving, crafting, and exploring new frontiers.

Slightly off topic but PBS put a show out years about about pioneer life. They took three families and had them live in the wilderness using only 1800's pioneer tech. Each family had to draw straws to see who got the completed cabin to live in and who had to construct their own. Hilariously the black father and his son got the shaft and had to build a cabin (which they failed miserably at and only succeed because the white families came over to help them daily, thus neglecting their own families).

The best part about the show however was this little 8 year old boy in the largest family. The kid absolutely went feral. He was out digging, hunting, exploring. It was epic. He was frequently missing from the film crew and the family just dismissed it and said he'd be fine (which he was). The girls were absolutely miserable though. They even hid make-up supplies in the ground and use them to flirt with the people in a nearby town.

Great show. Lots of accidental redpills.
