The average American conservative is the quintessential liberal. A bourgeois individualist who just wants to be "left alone". The problem is that politics isn't about "leaving people alone". It's about the will to power and forcing your ideology on everyone else. You're either the one doing the forcing or you're the one being forced. There is no third option. Leftists understand that, conservatives don't. That's why they always lose.
