Spaniards and Italians are not white confirmed

Whatever the verdict, theyre still closer to NW euros than anyone farther out than them

    Fins aren't white

They're phenotypically about the same even if their ancestral origins are more genetically diverse

Hmm, this chart is a bit misleading.

We've all got the same kind of ancestry, barring the Finn's. Just in different amounts.

    It's basically :

    Mesolithic WHG

    Neolithic Turkish

    Bronze age Steppes.

If you saw a comparison between these European samples and global samples you'd see the difference between European groups is pretty small.

    The simplified wiki version.

This chart is likely just reflecting the slight variations in the amount of each, in each group, plus a slight amount of drift.

    Mesolithic WHG

Proto-Europeans. They belong to Haplogroup I2 (and also to I1).

    Neolithic Turkish

Anatolians. They belong to Haplogroup G2 (which is extinct in Europe) and to Haplogroup E1.

    Bronze age Steppes.

Indo-Europeans. They belong to Haplogroup R1.

I'm curious who would be more genetically distant to NW euros, someone who is 75% Germanic and 25% non-white or a southern Italian compared to a NW euro, such as a Swede. Or rather where the cutoff is depending on what kind of non-white.

I expect the former would almost definitely be more genetically distant but I don't know for sure

That chart identifies a smaller sub group of Finns from kuusamo.

Most of the residents of Kuusamo are probably Sami so the results makes sense

Spaniards are. North Italians are not that distant. South Italians are very different though

That doesn't make sense. There is little difference between South and Northern Italy so how can Northern Italians be "not that distant" but Southern Italians be "very different"?

Its more complicated than that. There was no single, monolithic group of 'whites.' There were instead several different groups with their own distinct origins, that each settled Europe at different time periods. This is a very complicated subject, but to make it as simple as possible, you can check out this map and use it as a reference guide. It shows the different Haplogroups of people currently inhabiting Europe.

N1 are ancient hunter gatherers. They were the first to settle Europe, about 37,000 years ago.

I2 (and also I1) are Proto-Europeans. They settled Europe about 15,000 years ago.

G2 and E1 are ancient farmers. They setled Europe about 9-8000 years ago.

R1 are Indo-Europeans. They settled Europe about 5000 years ago.

Haplogroup N1 is only prevalent in Finland and Estonia.

Haplogroup E1 is only prevalent in Greece and North Africa, while Haplogroup G2 is extinct.

These groups were still at least distantly related to each other, and they were definitely Caucasoid

    Please tell me you're joking.
