I personally think it's kind of paranoid to believe that just signing this petition will get you in trouble, as long as you make sure to check the box to not publish your name, so I decided to sign it. You don't have to sign it yourself if you don't trust it, but if you still want to sign it but really don't trust it, you could use a burner email, a VPN and/or a fake name (although the latter might invalidate your signature, I'm not sure).

You’re right, but I have no idea who made this petition, nor do I know the site’s privacy policy. Many people, including you, just gave their real names, emails, and addresses to a person who could be potentially trying to hurt us.
