Anyone capable of reason and not blinded by bias, and desire for the US to be destroyed can see the Civil War was a far more polarized time.

They way I see it is that you have nothing, as expected, but you still want to believe that polarization was greater then and this is the rationalization you tell yourself.

Even if it was greater back then, so what? Our current situation won't be getting any better. People will be hating each other more and more and the polarization will continue to increase, and at some point, it will be greater than it ever was.

At least try not to contradict yourself if attempting to debate someone.

I'm not saying it will happen this year. Or even within ten years most likely. My estimation is that America won't survive in its current state until ~2050.
