advice on new sub idea? to (via pm) send_nasty_stuff sent Aug.18
Thinking of starting new sub titled anarcho-X. Interested enough to read intro statement? May be considered nasty stuff to snowflakes and PC'ers. 8 paragraphs
I don't really consider myself an anarchist so probably not my thing. Are you setting it up on saidit or ruqqus?
Aug.19 I have not decided what to do, looking for advice on setup, not participation. If you have no advice on this, can you advise on another consultant? Intro is not very long, this is what I've got so far...
anarcho-X
Consider this idea for a reader's community a family spawned by anarcho-capitalism.
I'm already familiar with anarcho capitalism. They are fellow dissident right travelers but there are major ideological disagreements between ancaps and the alt right. Disagreements that are probably impossible to bridge.
Capitalism is a paradigm of economic theory in which individuals may make choices on their own initiative, to trade or not, in some marketplace of their access.
I'm not really sure I agree with this premise. Capitalism in my humble opinion is not a full political school of thought (I guess you just said economic premise but it seems to me you're hinting it's a full philosophy). It's just markets and property rights and you can't have those without guns, chads, honor culture, courts, laws, rules, and some idea of a border (that border can be physical, moral, or ideological) that keeps ruffians that would fuck up your property rights at bay. Capitalism really only exists because white people have created really stable society for sub political philosophies like open society and free movement of capital to exist. 'Freedom' as Eric striker says is an abstraction.
Anarcho is a descriptor (prefix) borrowed from Greek, meaning without rulers, or ruler, or government.
Adam Smith's Invisible Hand
"order without power" —Pierre-Joseph Proudhon
IOW, de facto arrays, without de jure control to arrange them... eg. crystals.
These arrays always end up forming control structures similar to governments. Which end up being brutally technocratic and unresponsive to human needs and nuances. Capitalists always seem to be trying to destroy capitalism. There's no capitalism if one person or one small group ends up owning everything.
No rulers does not mean there are no rules, because any society, even a battlefield, has limiting factors, due to environment, pre-existing circumstances, human nature, natural laws and consequences, probability, etc. These might be considered the "unwritten rules", fate, etc.
I get that but I still see you failing to address Michel's iron law of oligarchy
goes to article based on ideas of Robert Michels. I'm so impressed by this idea/person, will be doing a study contained in a work in progress, "Our World According to (person)" to appear soon in s/introductions.
Since a family, even a founding family has a female and male component, I'm going to assign female role to capitalism. It's a much larger body of ideas, rich with themes to develop, pregnant with innovations and progress. Capitalism 'delivers'. Anarcho then, is bound to be the male component; it simply indicates indeterminate paternity (she was gang-banged), no top dawg, it's a bottom-up world.
I think you're getting too abstract here.
Um, no, this is where I try to inject some fun. Let's not get too serious.
Who is X?
As per genetic symbolism, X is the female chromosome, and we are going to go anarchy by substituting various alternate paradigms to take the she-role. What we want is to introduce alternative ideas, contrary to some familiar ideology of saiditor's choice. I'm going to offer an example by pointing to anarcho-catholicism. If you want to introduce an unfamiliar ideology, fine, if you describe it for us.
This doesn't make any sense.
Idea was to apply X as a variable to study other paradigms, two shown so far. I may elaborate on this in future, juggling anarcho- with alt- mostly for grins, probably going to s/fringe.
Objectives
Explore fringe ideas, outside-of-box thinking, controvert the dominant paradigm for insight. Offer jokes, music, quips, wit, art, wisdom, etc. for fun, if they fit the discussion.
Rules
We admire distributed responsibility, so we trust our readers to behave themselves in this public forum. Mods will be as lazy as decency allows, but some user who attracts several complaints, may be banned, and the decision is to be at the whim of the Moderator. So keep it cool, and don't attract ire, you are just a whim away from nixation. (LoL)
I feel like you're less concerned about the ideas of anarcho capitalism and more concerned with creat(ing) a space that's 'high optics' i.e. avoids jq, avoids race realism, avoids hard truths.
Um, that is a misunderstanding on send_nasty_stuff's part, due to not knowing me. I'm so severe on those issues, I'm currently under temporary ban on reddit for [quoting Talmud](corresponding post on saidit not up yet, I'm detooning it. (toning down to a toon)) Proof: look at the subs of which I'm a Moderator. If I wanted to create "high optics" I would be in other subs submitting poster images. Instead, I do detailed research and create longish texts loaded with references. This is to please myself, avg. readers skip them.
After receiving response (single indents above), ME...
Thnx much for this erudite and carefully crafted reply, u/send_nasty_stuff. May I republish it in the clear (on DAR)? The two texts together represent a debate, right? I may want to make some smallish comments about it. The idea is to show the text I sent you, put this below it, (merged instead) and ask for reader's suggestions: is this an idea worth more debate, or just something BSt left ignored? (I've dropped the idea of starting a sub.)
No prob. I have no problem with you publishing/sharing our discussion on DAR. You're totally welcome to add more comments as long as you separate them and people can see the original discussion clearly. I don't really know if it's an idea worth more debate but again you're welcome to post it. Be prepared for some criticism from DAR users because most are indifferent or hostile to an caps.
I'm not comfortable with debate, 5 yrs experience on reddit, about showing, replying to friendlies. When replies are hostile, I ignore them mostly. I'm not a big promoter of an-cap, I promote contrariness. If you actually looked at my reddit 'submitted' link above, you would see I've had mostly zero scores for months (probably from a single consistent downvoter, with little favorable support).
