Jealous much?

The retarded neoserf uses the "jealous" buzzword like it's an instant gotcha whenever somebody observes a violation of natural law and points it out fairly.

You are the retarded neoserf

The Youtube algorithm leads to a lopsided ecosystem where a few people make it on the top of the ecosystem while the rest are lucky to get 50K subscribers. Mr. Beast is also talented in creating viral content and gaming the Youtube algorithm with catchy thumbnail images and titles that will make people click his videos. It seems once someone wins at gaming the Youtube Algorithm and has a somewhat entertaining personality, they will just continue to rise in popularity as long as they put out consistent content of an acceptable quality level.

I don't think this strategy will work well with political content for multiple reasons. Politics is not anywhere near as popular as Minecraft, viral vlog content and makeup tutorials. In addition, Youtube customizes their algorithm to prioritize news media stories of current events to the top of search results and independent content creators are at the bottom of the list. It overrides Youtube popularity of independent content creators and their is a certain time limit before the search results show the most popular results with keyword searches. Finally, Youtube purposely makes right wing content less popular by giving boosts to breadtubers and shit liberals and either blacklists right wingers from the recommendation algorithm or decreases the frequency of recommendations.

I've literally never heard of him before yesterday and I use Youtube a lot. Some of his views/subs might be fake. Nothing about him seems organic at all.

The techniques and algorithms they use to get people to watch videos is basically down to a science. Have you noticed how thumbnails of videos on Netflix and other content distribution platforms change over time? The people that study the psychology of people through analytics and social trends find the people are more likely to click on a link they passed over if the thumbnail changes.

Instead of thinking of advertising and content platforms as organic ecosystems, think of it like a system designed to manipulate the most primal parts of our unconscious to make money. I would not surprised if views are fabricated because we all have been guilty of watching a movie or reading a book because it is known to be popular. Think of the irrational and childish enjoyment people have in popping bubble wrap in packages and realize people have figured out to exploit the most ridiculous aspects of the human psyche to profit from it.

I agree, social media is pretty much a dopamine machine. Youtube is constantly trying to figure out ways to trick people into staying on the site longer.

But if he was made fake-popular, the question is who did it and why? I'm essentially looking to find out what's special about this guy, since it ain't any talent or anything considering he's totally mediocre and does what almost anyone could do. He must be privileged in some way. I'm thinking he might have family at Youtube.

His content may be mediocre but that kind of content is popular among a large segment of young people (6-20 year olds), he gamed the algorithm as a normie-friendly content creator with the stunt-style "lol so random" videos that became a huge hit and from that he's got YT money, advertisement, sponsors and whatever else investment behind him. I mean a lot of his videos are basicially advertising for certain products, so it should not really be a surprise that he's sponsored. When you see him seemingly wasting money in his videos or giving it away, it obviously is irrelevant because he probably earns more than that back from views and his sponsors. And he's not an outlier, plenty of the normie-friendly side of YouTube does this and it's one giant cash cow. Remember, most people go on YouTube to watch basic content.

Actually, I should say this is one of the reasons why I don't think BitChute will ever really be a competitor to YouTube. BitChute is de facto a political podcast platform and nothing more, it will never appeal to the wider apolitical majority as it is nothing more than a back-up for controversial content creators. Sure, YouTube may only be "cat videos and make-up tutorials" as Keith Woods once said but the average person mostly watches (and has always watched) those and doesn't watch political content. I mean personally, I only use BitChute to watch certain content creators (only one of which is non-political) but if I look at the trending tab its only political and conspiratorial content and its not really that "diverse" either, what is the appeal of this to an apolitical normal person?

I think you're overestimating the dignity of the older masses.

What would be interesting to know is who is giving him money ("investments"). That's what I'm getting at. This guy was set up. Anyone could make his shitty content and thousands of people do but most never get anywhere because they don't have special connections like this guy.

According to this

Some of the companies that are associated with Mr. Beast’s YouTube channel are Tik Tok, CSGO Lotto, Quid and some others. He promotes their products and it nets him even bigger returns

However, I doubt they're the only ones. I highly expect Amazon is also sponsoring him just because I noticed he promotes Amazon often in his videos. I also expect YouTube is giving him some extra money alongside his money from video views, just because he is basicially a brand ambassador for them.

Your article also mentions he's gone viral (something that's probably never accidental) multiple times, and tries to ascribe that to talent (which is not present as anybody could make mediocre clickbait). So it would appear he's been propped up by Youtube for some reason. Perhaps he has a relative that works there? Somebody should look into that. Maybe I will, but I don't know how I would ever get access to the right info

I've seen him.

His style of videos are popular and some of them are entertaining.

Like a lot of people, he just had the right idea or the right marketing at the right time and was able to make a lot of money off of it.

See my other comments, I think it's probable he was propped up. Anyone can make such mediocre content but most don't get handed millions of subs. He must have demonstrated he's reliable to them or he must have secret connection.
