I wouldnt list global warming/climate change among them, I'd say it's the exact opposite.

Came here to say this. Believing in climate change isn't a leftist thing.

Everyone should oppose pollution at the very least.

The world isn't going to end in 12 years.

Oh, it won't. We've got a bit of time, but it never hurts to get people to stop denying climate change is a hoax right now.

It won't end, but it's going to get pretty crazy in 12 years.

It won't end in 12 years but there's going to be some interesting events potentially happening as the effects of climate change began to occur. The effects of climate change aren't just sea levels rising and very hot weather.

Not really actually. That's the false part of the leftist conspiracy.

This is basically my take as well. The "reason vs emotion" framing is sophomoric and folds under the most basic critical inquiry.

I like to analyze beliefs in terms of intuition, intent and function.

I was just about to write something similar to you. I think that these causes could be proven, though it would be difficult because they are claims about trends rather than more concrete, isolated incidents. I think that's one of the problems of the left currently: they tend to focus a lot on "the big picture." That's important. The big picture affects all our lives because it consists of things like culture and society. The left's mistake is that they have somehow forgotten entirely that the small picture still exists and is also incredibly important. You can't just ignore one or the other. If you do, it will have bad consequences.

    Global warming is real.

They are essentially conspiracy theories for the most with the exception of climate change. That's one important way to think about the left. They're mad conspiracy theorists and they think just like them. One of the flawed ways of thinking any person into conspiracies gets into is the ability to take two nominally contradictory facts and determine both as proof of the conspiracy.

For instance when the cop who had his taser stolen at the Wendy's is acquitted -- as he should be -- or the boys who chased down the 'Jogger' are let off the left will be screaming about how this proves how racist our system is but if they were convicted it would not prove to anyone on the left that the system is fair. It actually doesn't matter what happens the theory is sound for them.

Nothing about politics can be "proven". No human really sees the big picture, everything humans perceive is filtered through their own biased perspective first. There's no way to scientifically prove the superiority of one policy above others, or any objective way to define what would make a policy superior. Both leftist and rightist positions rely on emotion and instinct.

The thing is, most of these things exist but are misinterpreted by the left to push an agenda, or are reversed and things that are good or shouldn't matter are framed as bad. Global warming/abuse of the planet is definitely a thing and should be stopped because it is driven by wasteful materialism. "racism" is not only natural but wouldn't be an issue if we didn't have toxic multiculturalism and forced integration, things the left pushes. Homophobia is also natural because homosexuality is quite obviously unnatural and negative. Anti-female sentiment is simply holding females accountable or promoting traditional roles and lifestyles for them, according to the left.
