They're right wing in the sense that they're neoconservatives. They believe in equality, capitalism, schofield bible and spreading Americanism around the world(Usury, sodomy, abortion)

This used to be the case, but conservatives are probably a minority in the military at this point due to the last couple decades of treating the military as a gibs program for non-whites and women.

The military is about 60% white. How much of that is women and homosexuals, I have no idea. I think normal white men are about half the military. But the military is not a monolith. There is something called the tooth to tail ratio. Only a handful of troops in an army actually fight on the front lines, the vast majority is support.

In the US Tooth is 19% or less, in Russia its 27%, its higher in some other countries and the lowest in Switzerland. Plus there's also the question of who's manning the combat units. The primary combat unit of the past used to be the division which would mostly remain unchanged. Now its the Brigade.

How many troops are actually in these combat brigades, the ranger regiments and special forces battalions? And even more importantly, what type of people are in these combat units? The vast majority of military personnel are in things like administration, law, logistics etc. That's how you get ''Soldiers'' like David French was essentially a lawyer that never saw a day of combat in his life.

Are white men under or overrepresented in the combat units? I don't know this but I'm almost entirely certain women are vastly overrepresented in administration. They're the useless diversity and inclusion commissars that fill the dregs of modern admin everywhere

Dramatically over represented. 90%+

Curiously, African Americans are dramatically over represented in artillery- it's a strange little cultural quirk that has arisen.

Who in their right mind would put blacks in artillery? Isn't that the role that requires the most education and sophistication? Regardless, its good to know that white men are manning the combat units. When the rubber hits the road, that's all that matters. Who's holding big guns- that's the real question then

No, it's all formulaic and idiot-proof. They did their jobs well, we got a long with them.

If I'm being bluntly honest with you, the only smart people I've met in the military are infantry or high ranking officers/academy grads. While most are dimwits, the infantry has a curious subset of upper class white military families (think Pat Tillman-types, myself as well) and they tend to be competitors first and foremost; they're more than capable of being engineers or finance grads but choose to be grunts for the experience.

Well, they're doing their best to ruin the officer corps. For a few years now we see the ''top class '' at West Point being black wahmen. An army ultimately is about discipline and cohesion, without that, they're an armed gang, not an armed force. I can see scenarios in future where the average soldier is more competent than the average officer due to diversity initiatives. Wouldn't be surprised to see a scenario where a war or civil conflict goes sideways and the troops disobey their officers en masse or even kill them.

It happened in Tsarist Russia, 1918 Germany, the French revolution and many other instances. And those officers were actually competent and often from the aristocracy

Yup, can confirm, lots of unnecessary personnel and worthless leadership in order to create jobs for blacks and women. Mostly welfare recipients in a soldier's costume.

It depends what you mean by "right-wing".

61% of US veterans voted for Donald Trump in 2016. 34% voted for Hillary Clinton. https://www.statista.com/statistics/631991/voter-turnout-of-the-exit-polls-of-the-2016-elections-by-military-service/

My observation is that a lot of white US military "right-wingers" are civic nationalists and Zionist anti-Islam types. They might be critical of immigration or something but they're not racially conscious. In fact, they're probably even more "colourblind" than the average Joe because they're generally only exposed to more conservative/patriotic non-whites.

There was a lot of pushback from the combat arms about lifting the ban on jobs like the infantry and special forces to women, the arguments were a mix of science (women not being able to physically handle carrying the equipment loads, a 2015 USMC study demonstrating that mixed-sex units perform worse than all-male ones, etc) and social/cultural, like women changing the group dynamic and not wanting to be put in a position where a woman gets captured/harmed by the enemy.

Most of course aren't WNs or 'based', but it wouldn't surprise me if there is a higher proportion of them in the US military than the general population either. I'm sure experiences in places like Iraq and Afghanistan are pretty red-pilling, especially when you're expected to turn a blind eye to your "allies" raping little boys. https://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/21/world/asia/us-soldiers-told-to-ignore-afghan-allies-abuse-of-boys.html

Going by what I've read on Reddit's military subs and the Terminal Lance comic (whose artist/author is a Jew Iraq war veteran), there is no shortage of shitlibs either.

The UK military seems broadly similar. Mind you, there are a lot of older veterans on the Army Rumour Service forum (ARRSE) who make casually "racist" remarks and have berated non-whites, including the supposedly prestigious Gurkhas and other third world Commonwealth soldiers as being substandard in their personal experience, saying the reality doesn't match up with the public/media image of them. But they're not WNs either, they're the sort of dolts who tribally vote Tory to keep "socialism" away.

Infantry and other combat arms are overwhelmingly right wing, even among Latinos and African-Americans. And while it's mostly neo-con, the lines are a bit blurred when foreign wars have introduced Americans to degenerate dysfunctional third-worlders. Where you see the screeching liberals is among the non-combat personel. Grunts vs POGs is a surprisingly deep divide in militaries that isn't often talked about.

When I was in, there was a strong emphasis on female and minority empowerment. Based on my experiences, I don't think the military is capable of fighting a real war anymore.

In the event of an invasion, my only defense would be to subject the enemy to a long powerpoint about sexual harrassment policies.

It used to be. Doubt it is anymore. Its changing along with the rest of America. Now its a lot browner, a lot gayer and has a lot more women.

Its ok to kill for Israel, we just have to make sure its done in line with the latest liberal social values. The US military is basically an expensive social experiment/welfare program that occasionally kills muslims that oppose globohomo.

In my personal experience the US military is only slightly rightwing, most people just want to smoke weed, play videogames, and look for girls offbase, or spend time with their family depending on their age. I don't think people in really care what you do outside of work as long as it doesn't impact them or your performance during work. There is a odd sexual aspect because of the diversity initiatives and the anti-sexual harassment program, where people are somehow suppose to fit transgenders and women who are trigger happy to go report someone for rape are suppose to fit into a masculine environment. I only ever met one soldier who told me they were transgender and one soldier who was bisexual. I was openly a Trump Supporter, and never got push back except a little bit by people who were apolitical as far as I could tell. I'd guess there is roughly three attitudes in the military, 1. People who just want to serve their contract, and find something less stressful to do. 2. People who want to go on a combat deployment. 3. People who just want to survive to retirement.
