Interesting case.

Hmm I reckon he is was jealous of the attention his younger sister was getting and developed the gender issue as a way to gain back the parents attention. Maybe the mother is a raging sexist and secretly hates males but realized she could have "two daughters" instead of the one. Lots of potential explanations.

It took me blowing up over a holiday last Spring to get everyone to really work on my pronouns. There is still a mark in their wood floor where I smashed a glass before storming out. Things have improved vastly since then because they understand the turmoil it creates for me to be misgendered by the people who are supposed to support me the most. People loooove to make our transitions about them, my supposedly supportive parents recently were telling me im selfish for asking them to catch up on the pronouns after being out for over a year.
