The city of Hamtramck, Mich. is often praised in the liberal media for being a Muslim-majority city with Muslims in political leadership. But its city council voted unanimously to ban LGBTQI+ #Pride symbols from being displayed on any city property.

That's great but the fact that there's a city in the U.S. that's Muslim-majority is kinda worrisome. Alphabet Mafia and Muslims might as well be the same when you're talking about government since both are ideologues hellbent on seeing Western society and culture eradicated from the face of the planet. The fact that Muslims happen to align with conservatives on this one issue should not give anybody the sense that Islam is suddenly totes coolio.

Yes but since they allow for polygamy the self deletion is an adventageous trait evolutionarily. It allows for the removal of inferior males while simultaneously eliminating competition from others.

It's less likely this city is done to kill America, and more likely it's a community for one group that naturally occurred. A proper transMexican should know this.

I don't think this one city is gonna bring about the apocalypse but I do know that a big part of that religion's mission statement involves not resting until the whole world is converted to Islam. And seeing what they've done to other countries and created "no-go zones" should be a massive red flag. So even one city is one too much. As a transmexican egg vegan you should know this.

Sounds rather an American mindset. I'm not terribly worried so long as there isn't a massive influx in Muslim immigrants beyond the ability for society to assimilate them. Second or third generation Muslim immigrants will otherwise become westernized. The no go zones as you say (I'm not sure where particularly you are referring to) seem to me to be a particularly American idea and are largely a fiction of your media that prefers to keep you scared and reliant on them for your information of the outside world rather than going and making your own judgements for yourself.

Most of the world, including some of the dangerous placed you do need to be very careful, isn't really a no-go zone so long as you aren't stupid, unless we are talking about literal war zones.

You can go to Saudi Arabia or wherever and so long as you follow their rules and don't cause problems you'll be fine. Naturally they'll lynch you if you go with a picture of Mohammed as a pig. So don't do that.

"No go zones" in this context are neighborhoods, most commonly found throughout Europe, where communities of refugee Muslims, propped up by welfare programs, have set up their own little Muslim ecosystems with their own Sharia mini-governments. They are called "no go zones" because they are so hostile to Westerners that even the police are afraid to go there without a fully armored squad, and regular citizens are recommended flat out to just not go there. The Left categorically denies their existence but journalists have reported otherwise.

Yeah, and you can be from Saudi Arabia, immigrate to Western Europe, take over neighborhoods and not follow the country's rules and totally reject the host country's culture and those countries' woke governments will bend over and take it because they bought into the lie of multiculturalism and will do anything to keep the lie going. Muslims are taking total advantage of this fact and it's making it easier than ever to spread their ideology to the West.

I remember when Hamtramck used to be known (with some affection) as Polack Town, and Pączki Day saw the bakeries just get mobbed, because that's where the best pączkis could be bought. Sad to learn that it's been turned into Sharia Town.

Muslim majority city practices democratic concept of passing law reflecting the views of it's constituents.

It's a fairly good question though? Should a city spend tax money to display any symbols from any private interest group? I wouldn't be particularly offended if say the city decided to fly "Let's plant flowers" to promote gardeners but is that something that the city should pay for?

Likewise if you do make public spaces a forum for free speech you have to allow everyone to avoid discriminating, so if you allow for the pride flag to be flown, can the local Christian groups petition to have the Christian flag flown? Why not? What about an atheist flag?

Why not just fly the American flag only, it is supposed to represent everyone in America anyway.

They are constantly breaking national, state/provincial flag rules when they fly progress flags on government property.

I'd be curious if Hamtramck flies any Islamic flags on city property. But even if they do, other cities fly pride flags, so who can complain.

Title of post seems a bit misleading. The city seems to have voted to ban "flags," not Pride symbols, plus it bans all flags "promoting any "religious, ethnic, racial, political, or sexual orientation group.""

So, presumably, you could still wear a Pride t-shirt or a Christian t-shirt or, for that matter, a hijab, just no flags.

Would it pass a First Amendment challenge with our current court? Don't know, but my instinct is that it might not.

It is banning their display on city property. I imagine it will stand up to a constitutional challenge. So long as the policy is applied fairly towards any sort of display and not simply focused on a certain kind of display it should stand to scrutiny.

This wouldn't prohibit a private entity from flying as many pride flags as they wanted to.
