I thought this was common knowledge. Just like Spez admitting to altering peoples comments or outright deleting them if they upset him.

It's common knowledge to those of us who have been pushed out of Reddit, and/or anyone who has even the slightest bit of curiosity and searches it up.

There are still tons of users who need to learn of it. And about Spez, and about Aimee/Ashton, and about the cabal, etc etc etc.

Preddit really encourages their users to be dumb and complacent.

It isnt. People think plebbit is like organic free speech / opinions when in actuality its very tightly controlled

Its pretty nefarious when you think about it

Part of the problem is the mods often don't tell you when they remove something, so everything appears to be normal.

That too, for sure

I have probably more experience than anyone dealing with this group of mods. I can personally attest that this is true. Actually it's even worse.

If you go on any large subreddit, 8 times out of 10 it's controlled by the exact same users.

These users also have a suspicious amount of luck with post, comment, and subreddit success and visibility, which is the real reason GallowBoob gets so much karma. I've seen many of their subreddits go to "trending" immediately. And you can also see that some of them are moderators of admin-controlled subreddits, and that the admins interact with them all the time but mostly ignore everyone else.

You should also know that they have many secret chats and subreddits known called "default mods". Yes, the admins are a part of it, including spez, Chtorrr sodypop, and redtaboo, the highest admins in the company, who also personally stalk WatchRedditDie and Drama users. When asked, they become panicky, and either deny that it exists at all or claim that nothing interesting happens there. But there are plenty of leaks proving otherwise. Things that were discussed in there include spez editing comments and the 2020 banwave (which both an admin and Bardfinn accidentally admitted to plotting in their private group).

Anyone who calls it out gets banned of course. Me and /r/The_Cabal were banned for literally no reason.

One member of the cabal is allthefoxes, and yes he's the same allthefoxes as the Discord employee. He is friends with a lot of the top admins at reddit. In July WatchRedditDie was banned from Discord, and everyone in the server was also banned for no reason, probably because of his ties with reddit. He did the same thing to a server that had a lot of people making fun of furries in it, and even banned the furry who reported the server! Most people think Discord fired him and tinyfeex after the controversy, but that is not the case; he merely changed his name. Before that he ran the official Discord server for reddit moderators, including banning me and nearly all my friends who tried to join it. I also spoke to him on reddit once, and he was rather rude, and I saw his post history and he was always rude to all the plebs on reddit, and an extremely petty and power-tripping moderator. Leaks show that he was involved with spez editing comments, along with other infamous figures such as awkwardtheturtle.

They don't control everything alone. I don't know why he only showed those 4.

Did you just rebrand yourself from Socks thinking no one would notice? Holy shit every talking point you have doesnt even sound like your own.

Must use alternatives. Most of you likely know communities.win and here is a much less familiar one: https://exploding-heads.com/communities

Personally, I like the look and feel and small but dedicated user base we have here.

This is the cornerstone of any platform, having too many people often leads to erosion by subversion.

Those who use Plebbit are the same cohort who watch Dr. T. V. for the release of their latest vax updates 💉🐄

All of SaidIt is controlled by one dictator with an ego, magnora7.

      [–]Musky 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

Dude, we see m7 briefly every few months... not exactly an iron fist of control there.

Jason is the kind of person who says he wants freedom by limiting it and then proceed to complain about it cause he's restricted.

Gravi is the kind of person who says shit he doesn't know anything about proceeding to fool no one.

He's not let go of the reigns though has he?

      [–]Musky 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Why would he, Saidit is his property.

      [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I'm not denying that he owns SaidIt or that he has final say.

However, he's clearly a hypocrite that claims to desire the fostering of a free-thinking truth-seeking community while doing little to nothing to help folks in the SaidIt community achieve those goals. He's never drafted a charter, provided a roadmap, nor offered any substantial plans for moving forward - much less developed a public relations team and strategy. He can't even openly discuss his ideas, have them challenged and improved, and manifest any consensus or compromise. He hands down dictates because he's not a leader and should step out of the way for those who can. That's exactly what's stifling SaidIt, generating forum slide, and preventing meaningful purposeful growth.

      [–]Vulptex 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

He is pretty hands-off. In the earlier days there were some stricter rules regarding the pyramid of debate, but not as much anymore. Nowadays it's pretty much only spam and things that could get saidit in trouble.

      [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Being hands-off, after he's established arbitrary bullshit - and still not letting the community self-regulate, is not the same as letting the community freely determine its own course.

      [–]Vulptex 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Right now it functions more like a minarchy. Which is certainly preferrable to direct democracy.

      [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

      Bullshit.
He's still dictator - and direct democracy minarchy is preferable to a micro-tyrant's minarchy.

Even if my say is not embraced, I'd rather have a say in things in a community's direct democracy.
Besides his ego, there are absolutely ZERO legitimate reasons why the community can't have a say.

A minarchy is preferable to the other shit, which is why I'm still here.

      [–]Vulptex 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's kind of hard to not have a dictator on a website. Someone has to own it.

I honestly would prefer m7 to the community currently. Normally I wouldn't say that, but at the moment most of the users here don't support free speech.

      [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Owning a site and being a dictator are not inextricably related. I'll prove that soon enough.

The forum slide and current userbase is 100% due to M7.

If you have free-thinking and truth-seeking then you don't need "free speech" as it's good qualities are inherent.

I'm going to post more in /s/Autonomy, today and in the future.

I wonder if you can target Reddit and change it, the same way they did. Infiltrate, take over.

Something interesting is that the infamous chikd trafficker was a power user on Reddit.
