This year’s theme, Love Will Keep Us Together

Aww, are we living rent free in their heads?

We have stuck with each other through so many divisive and regressive challenges

Name two.

Highlighting concerns ranging from trans rights, BLM, reproductive rights, immigration policies and the continued profiling and persecution of Black folks

Not to be an asshole, but what does any of this have to do with LGB people? The theme is literally “everyone other than you, but pretend it’s Gay Pride.” How do they expect us to actually turn out for this?

The official line will be something to do with marginalised communities supporting each other. The actual reason is just further forced teaming of unrelated political issues, so that disagreeing with any one position doesn't just make you a transphobe, it makes you a transphobic, homophobic, racist, xenophobic, anti abortion, anti Palestine, anti Semite. It's the unfortunate end result of bipartisan politics.

Even in the UK there's basically no party that takes a sensible stance on gender, whilst not being awful on a whole bunch of other points. I really don't want to vote Conservative any time soon, but Labour & the Lib Dems are up gender shit creek. So it's basically either abstain, begrudgingly vote Tory or go for a fringe party like the Social Democrats (who I still disagree with on a number of points, but are still probably closest to sanity)

Easy for me to say it as I don't live in the UK anymore but I think it might be best to hold your nose, vote Tory but make sure as many people as you possibly can in Labour and the Lib Dems know why. They absolutely need to know that this nonsense is costing them a very significant proportion of the electorate. I don't think there is any other way. If you absolutely can't vote Tory spoiling your vote by writing 'sex not gender' or something on your ballot is probably the next best option. But I think Labour needs to really feel their nonsense is hurting their electoral favour to cop on.

we could sneak a second, entirely separate lgb parade in the back of this one without them knowing.

So, this is the straight Pride all the conservatives kept demanding happen?

On the plus side it says 'Black folks' as opposed to 'Black folx" so there's that!

How does this relate to or benefit homosexuals by the way?

use the bathroom matching their gender identity

Bathrooms are segregated by sex, not ✨gender identity✨. It's the reason why only one of the two have urinals, which only male people can utilize.

I filled out the form with my name, You're Erasing Gays &Lesbians, my email which is You'reErasingGays&Lesbians@FuckYou.org, my Twitter handle @You'reErasingGays&LesbiansFuckYou.

Hilarious: *We are prioritizing BIPOC ,trans led groups and organizations., as well as other marginalized communities. How would you define your groups identity background? *

Yep, still no gays or lesbians to prioritize there. A heterosexual millionaire say Google engineer of Indian, Asian, Lation heritage- anyone nonwhite in other words- is a "marginalized" person, as opposed to a middle aged homosexual like me who went through hell growing up and still suffers from depression from that. Feeling abused and ostracized by society seeing the toll of AIDS, I suppose none of that happened, apparently I rule the world and have never been marginalized.

I fucking despise these people.

This. This is something that it's high time LGB (and the larger society, in fact) dealt with. Yes, thanks to all the hard work done (and risks taken) by a lot of mostly LGB people, there's less out-and-out hostility towards/persecution of those who are same-sex-attracted... but so many of us still bear psychological scars from the time before. That doesn't just magically go away with the overturning of sodomy laws and the legalization of same-sex marriage. And it needs to be addressed. That's part of righting the wrongs perpetrated against LGB people too. Recognizing the damage it did, the people it hurt... and that many of us are still hurting. We deserve to be listened to, and supported. YOU deserve to be, Dromedary.

Needless to say, I'm infuriated by the T for any number of reasons... but this is certainly among them. That LGB people like yourself, who should be able to look to our own community for sympathy and encouragement, are denied it thanks to The Invasion of the Gender-Cultists. Whose problems, frankly, are mostly of their own making. Unlike ours. And maybe that's why LGB leadership chose them over us in the first place. Because, in the words of a particularly-biting bit of satire from Mad magazine once upon a time: instead of feeding the hungry, feed those who AREN'T hungry... since, after all, "they eat a lot less".

Dreading to think what World Pride in Sydney is going to be like TRA Hell on Earth, I suspect.
