For example if I'm on instagram and I see some art that looks cool I'll go to the artist's profile and if I see pronouns, a trans flag, or any of the newer pride flags in the bio I nope the fuck out of there and block so that profile never shows up on my feed again. If I don't see pronouns or woke flags then I'll give the page a quick scroll through to check for trans flag colors or drawings of androgynous characters (because usually people try to 'they/them' those kinds of characters). This applies to twitter too, I just don't use it much.

Right I do the same thing when it comes to art browsing. If I come across an artist who's art style I really like, I give their profiles a look and check for pronouns, "Trans" flag, or sayings like "LGBTQT++", I'll nope out of them as well. I learned this the hard way because an artist I followed on Twitter whose work I love so much, I didn't check their profile until they made a post about "being a long haired transman" and I was like "Oh fuck..." Go to the page, see that they're a woman who thinks she's a man yet has a fairly feminine appearance but dresses like a Metalhead and it all made sense lol But I couldn't unwatch her because I like her art style so much so I try to ignore it but that person is the only exception.

Some 'green' flags for me though are: if a content creator enjoys Harry Potter (wearing HP merch in videos for example) without bashing JKR, continuing to use the words 'woman', 'female', 'mother', etc when appropriate and ignoring any TRAs in the comments who try to correct it, referring to oneself as a man or woman instead of a 'cis' man or woman, not using qualifiers like 'women and AFAB trans people', referring to oneself as straight/gay/lesbian/bi and not one of the fake sexualities like demi/pan/etc, general use of sex based language instead of identity based language. You have to watch someone for a while to chart this stuff. But in the end it's worth the work imo to have a 'safe' list of people you can watch.

This is good, I'll try to use some of this for myself as well. I already kinda do it when I hear a content creator use phrasing like "AFAB / AMAB" or "Cis" but not so much on the Harry Potter stuff yet. Oh and yeah, if they call themselves "Demisexual" or "Demi" anything, bleh. But yeah I was just sent for a loop with the podcast thing I mentioned because up to that point, she (the podcast host) never once talked about trans stuff until now so I was totally not expecting it lol.

Other things I do are stay away from Netflix originals if they come from the US. Netflix originals tend to be veeeeery woke here and will shove trans/enby/genderqueer into its shows wherever it can. I can do Netflix originals if they come from certain other countries though, because there's almost no chance of genderist bs coming in. Like the show Sweet Home I really liked. It's a Netflix original, but it's from South Korea, so I knew I probably wouldn't see any trans stuff in it. I was right.

I don't have Netflix at this time so that's not a problem at the moment haha. But I remember there was a show called "POSE" that was being raved about and it sounded interesting until I heard there's a Trans character in it... Yeah no thanks. The only Netlfix original I've watched from streaming was the Castlevania anime and thankfully there wasn't any Gender BS in the 3 seasons so far.

The only exception right now for me is umbrella academy because my friend had already seen the first season when it came out. She's just as sick of trans stuff as I am so when she was really adamant I watch season 1 at her house I knew it was fine. Season 2, surprisingly, also didn't have any trans stuff in it. Although I'm wary of that now. Netflix claims it won't trans Vanya (Ellen Page's character) and that she'll stay female in the show, but I don't believe that. Ellen has gone so far off the deep end into her transition already and making statements about trans kids dying so I doubt she'll be fine with 'playing a woman' in the show. Being called 'she' while filming might make her have a breakdown in her trailer afterward, idk. I also really hate looking at Ellen's face now. I'll probably judge the first episode featuring Vanya when season 3 comes out and see how bad it is, but I'm prepared to drop the show if it gets woke.

Oh I've seen some ads for that show but I was on the fence. Good to know that at the time being they haven't shoved any Trans crap into it but unfortunately I fthink you're right to be worried that they most likely will at some point because of Ellen Page being a TRA Trans-identified woman. I guess just enjoy it while it lasts.

I don't blame you. I have like 1 or 2 people I follow on insta or am subbed to on youtube who have pronouns in their bio or claim to be 'demisexual' but they don't usually virtue signal beyond that so it's not as hard to stomach.

And good on you for not having netflix lol. Technically I don't either, I'm using my friend's. I've heard cool things about Castlevania though, now that I know there's no trans BS I might give it a watch.

Yeap. Not only that, Gerard Way (wrote the comics it's based on) is a huge TRA himself, believes in gender identity and all that. So there's nothing stopping him from retconning Vanya and making her a transman. He wrote the story, he can do what he wants. If netflix gets permission from him to trans her in the show then it's gonna happen, regardless of what they said initially when Ellen 'came out' 🙄.

Right, that's understandable and it helps so you don't have to focus much on that annoying crap. Unfortunately though I forgot to mention that the artist I gave an exception to does occasionally shove in some vapid "I feel so oppressed as a transman" crap every now and then. Recently she vented how she feels like some gay men don't take her seriously as a "transman" and well... lol But yeah thankfully it's not a super frequent thing she does.

Wait Gerard Way? As in the guy who was the singer for the band My Chemical Romance? No way lol Well damn, that's depressing (but somehow now surprising lol). But yeah, just try and enjoy it before the inevitable transwashing happens...

Oh my god. Sometimes I have to convince myself some of these people are just straight up stupid. Because the idea of being such a narcissist that you go into willful denial like this makes my head hurt.

And yep. That Gerard Way. When I first learned that I was like oh that's pretty cool. I like when celebrities venture into other avenues and are good at it. Because it helps to normalize not just picking one thing you 'do' for the rest of your life. You can do multiple things.

But yeah I found out he was a TRA and I was like well that's unfortunate but at least he didn't put it in umbrella academy. Then Ellen Page transed herself and I'm like well. It was good while it lasted I guess.

Yeah but honestly I can see how this woman deluded herself into thinking she's a man. I recently learned that she was big into Yaoi and it all made sense lol Quirky "uwu" yaoi/slash styled pictures when she's not focusing on her story with some of her characters and it just wreaks of those women anime fans who love writing and/or drawing yaoi. I think they're called "Fujoshi"? But yeah I recently learned this and it makes a lot more sense.

Man that is depressing to hear about him falling for the TRA BS and how Ellen's trans-identification is gonna most likely affect the show because TRAs love cramming that BS into stuff... Yeah...

qualifiers like 'women and AFAB trans people'

I always go out of my way to correct the AMAB/AFAB nonsense and remind that sex is observed at or before birth.

Right I try to do the same with saying "We aren't "ASSIGNED" at birth, we're observed at birth".
