Maybe she was also denied many roles because she's not that good, and her vocal fry is death.

In Hollywood there is rule not to film homosexual people in heterosexual relationship, rule is not that old, around 10 years old. However, they can film heterosexual actor in homosexual role, so it is hypocrytical.

So how do you explain this scene with Luke Evans from just a couple of years ago? https://youtu.be/J-CruNO9qiw?t=56

And all these recent steamy Luke Evans heterosex scenes? https://youtu.be/8ZpcYTZoMIY https://youtu.be/14xQ4w_qsQY

Matt Bomer was still starring as a straight guy in White Collar in 2014. I recall quite a few sexy scenes and plenty of smooching https://youtu.be/3JoHoLTtam0 I thought Bomer still got a lot of diverse roles.

Jim Parsons was the star on Big Bang Theory, and he played a heterosexual (albeit nerdy) guy with a GF. That ran through 2019. Neil Patrick Harris played an overt womanizer on How I Met Your Mother, which ran through 2014.

Jane Lynch, Sara Gilbert, Sarah Paulson, Maria Bello, T. R. Knight, Jodie Foster, Zachary Quinto, Lily Tomlin- I don't believe none of them have been allowed to play het people in het relationships on film for a decade now.

Surely there can be exceptions to the rules, especially among males (or rarely with actors/actresses who have very long careers and came out just recently, so most people still thinks they are hetero). However, all named by you examples are either series started long before that, or actors never did coming out and holding relationship in secret, like with Jim Parsons.

Bomer's career kinda tanked when he came out. He was only offered gay roles for a while. I guess it was an open secret in hollywood that he was gay but as long as he wasn't out it wasn't a big deal. Now he's out and having problems finding roles.
