Non binary asks if they are welcome. Disregards only answer that says no and calls them transphobic. Why bother asking?

Wtf that makes no sense. How can one be nonbinary and a lesbian? Are they trying to make words referring to sexual orientation meaningless? Do they expect lesbians to be attracted to real women, transwomen and nonbinary people who could be female or male? Isn't that just pansexual without actual men? You can't assume other peoples gender but go ahead and decide their sexual orientation and preferences for them. I feel bad for real lesbians. What a nightmare.

I guess it would depend on who is defining lesbian too then. Most would say a woman who is attracted to other women is a lesbian regardless of how she identifies. I'm guessing the TRA definition for lesbian is anyone who is attracted to women but does not identify as a man. It seems like faulty logic to me. They seem to think sexual attraction is based on gender so someone who identifies as nonbinary would not be a woman to them so wouldn't they be excluded from lesbiandating circles? Maybe I'm overthinking it.

More like "it is someone who is not identifying as a man who likes people who are identifying as a woman or NB woman". So man who identifying as NB woman with a woman, or two transwoman (pre-op, so with penises) with each other - are all lesbians in TRA and neolib feminist eyes.

It’s really easy when we are talking about those who are female. Combine the anything-but-female phenomena with being same-sex attracted and one can easily id as both nonbinary and lesbian. Added bonus: they can’t criticize you as hard because you are trans too, just ask another nb lesbian to date you.

For males, I suspect- it’s mostly a fetish and a wiggle around consent guilt trip phenomena inside some of these circles. Also peter pan complex? The community has done its damn best to force this weird Orwellian opposite day effect on everything, inclusivity to the point of exclusion. “Straight men who watch lesbian porn are more lesbians than lesbians and lesbians are the DEVIL uwu.”
