SNL just called out JKR for a 2nd time and more undercutting of white women - 3rd week in a row by Anon123 in GenderCritical

The reason I brought up the porn is because people have brought it up as proof of white women fetishizing/exploiting black men, and I guess I never got the impression that it was produced for white women. I wanted to understand if you felt it was related, since I really really struggle to see it as "for white women," but I never really could figure out who it was for if not black men and if not white women.

I guess to me, it just feels like a safe thing for them to call out for their audience (since shitting on white women is en vogue). I know that it being "safe" to call out doesn't mean it shouldn't be called out. From my perspective the way they carried it out just resulted in more harassment for being in a mixed race relationship (though my bf is not black, people I know quickly escalated to "white women fetishize all nonwhite men"). I guess ultimately you can't avoid such things and it's not the writers fault; I suppose it's just something I'll have to get use to dealing with going forward.

There's also the "white women are for fucking, <women of my own race> are for loving and having families" attitude that I've run into a fair amount.

I'm not saying that white women aren't creepy and fetishistic towards men of color, they absolutely can be and are, I guess it's more the intersection between the two is more complicated than just "white women bad".

So here's a question that i always want to ask in this convo but it never seems appropriate.

Who is all the "BBC destroys white teen pussy" porn for? I've seen a lot of people saying it's for white women, and I don't know, there's so much of it professionally produced that I find it hard to believe.

I guess I struggle from it because of my perspective, as a white woman who has dealt with men of color being really creepy/fetishistic over my being white. I get that preference for white women is absolutely part of racism and related to denigration of WoC, but I guess I see race and patriarchy intersecting in a weird way when followed to my car by a dude saying really weird shit about my skin color.

It seems the two blend into each other quite a bit. I don't know any women who are like that, yet the sub is filled with it beyond even what you would expect by trans women being over represented.

It's very alternative-but-still-hyper-feminine, as a subculture I guess I would say.

Gaming spaces have the same sort of issue. They're dominated by a very particular look, pastel pink/white headsets with cat ear attachments, and rigs to match. Carefully curated spaces that try very hard to be soft and cute. They're all perpetually "poor" while being able to shell out an extra $100 to get the matching pink version of something. Very "I game in my sexy lingerie all the time, it's normal!" types. Or they dress very uwu cute.

Anyone who doesn't like this aesthetic is "not like other girls" and just has internalized misogyny. Or is probably a trans man.

Oh I know. I'm very GNC, I get mistaken for a man by non-TRAs. This means that when I was in university, there were a lot of people trying to recruit me to be trans. If I had been younger, when I was 18 when I was mistaking my hatred for the gendered expectations of women for a hatred of women, I may have listened and decided I didn't want to be a woman. Even now, I get messages from random trans persons and groups about how I look, and I've seen things I've said or posted on egg_irl. I guess I'm a prime mark.

Funny, I have seen them suggest that JKR is trans-in-denial as reason for her "sudden extreme transphobia".

Women in say, the Victorian era, did get published, but only in very specific genre (like romance) and they were considered little more than pulpy garbage. To be taken seriously by both publisher and audience, a male pen name was needed.

Their arguments of "but these people were trans!" is a long way about of saying "since they did not write pulpy garbage romance like other women, clearly they were men!"

During casual conversation with peers and colleagues (all male, aside from myself) the topic of sexism in STEM fields came up. They asked about my experience. I said yes, I had experienced a lot of sexism in university, during hiring, and even after. A trans women I had gone to university with stated that women made it up or exaggerated it, and they had experienced no sexism in university, nor had they any difficulty getting a job for the optimum pay. They had transitioned after graduation, after getting a job. I hated them, so much, in that moment.

"You're not feminine enough to be a woman," was the line I heard frequently as a teen and young adult. Back then, they were considered assholes to say such a thing, but now they are progressive and caring. Same shit, different day. I've had people ~reach out~ to me about it, about how my frustrations with womanhood might be a sign I'm just not a woman. As if suddenly saying I'm an enby would fucking fix a goddamn thing.

For example, feemagers has a rather large overlap with two trans subs, traaaaaans or whatever and the stupid egg_irl subs https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/feemagers

For the case of my ex, I honestly believe she is just a pathological liar with a victim complex. She makes up all sorts of stories about things that never happened between her and other people, about people mistreating her when she's out and about. Stories I was supposedly involved in (ie she told a story about how I was apparently jumped for being a lesbian and she defended me), but never actually happened. She posts endlessly in the My Parents/InLaws/Siblings/etc are Narcissists subs about how everyone abuses her, using made up scenarios. She posts about difficulties in jobs she's never had, and completion of degrees at universities she's never attended.
