thank you pcosthrowaway25828 on Reddit for compiling this album and documenting how women fought back before they were silenced.

If you’re here from the PCOS sub that was formerly for women, welcome.

And here's the link back up showing, definitively, that regular users were sick of this shit. It wasn't ''trolled by TERFs''

https://snew.notabug.io/r/PCOS/comments/hl5dbz/why_is_is_always_the_femaleoriented_subs/

I knew this already because I was a regular lurker (this was only one of maybe 5 similar threads that ended up happening with similar results) but LMAO thank you for that link. They are really going lengths to pretend they're not just suppressing their own userbase.

LOL at them deleting every instance of someone asking if the new mods even have PCOS. Gonna assume they don't.

They're denying that they removed/replaced any mods, but their pinned post indicates they "sought help from reddit admins" and "brought on new mods" to help "clean out the bad actors".

[–][deleted] 30 insightful - 1 fun30 insightful - 0 fun31 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They removed posts of people who were being called “dumb bitches” by transwomen. These posters asked the mods for help, and they were obviously silenced.

While I could see a trans man finding PCOS relevant, there is no conceivable reason a MTF would need PCOS.

[–]gparmesan[S] 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

what will they do when every single “bad actor” sub is vanquished, all of those evil terfs cancelled, and women still want a place to discuss their health problems without walking on eggshells??

[–]Sun_bear 28 insightful - 1 fun28 insightful - 0 fun29 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

How do any women support this bullshit? I have PCOS because I have ovaries. It's a shitty condition that the medical establishment don't take seriously. I had a man on reddit tell me it was self inflicted, that I'd 'eaten myself into a whole' despite having been underweight for most of my life, overweight women with PCOS are overweight because of the PCOS, not the other way around! People are so nasty to women with this disorder and apparently we can't even have a sub to discuss it. If you have ovaries, you are a woman, no men have ovaries, ffs!

[–]Girlwiththeraventat 26 insightful - 1 fun26 insightful - 0 fun27 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Once again we see the feelings over reality argument given to silence the other side. How dare she want a place to talk about medical problems that have nothing to do with gender. Better hold her "accountable". Whatever that means to them. Wft is wrong with these men. They are so fragile they cant let women have a space to talk about medical issues the only affect women. And now even the use of the word woman or women is transphobic? What fucking woke hellscape are we currently in.

[–]Veneficca 23 insightful - 1 fun23 insightful - 0 fun24 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Good grief, they love their persecution complex! Woman offers compassion and understanding as she pleads to be allowed to state facts, she repeatedly rolls out the welcome mat for NBs and trans, and they STILL accuse her of "hateful bigotry" and "TERF invasions" and being made to feel "unsafe."

There's no pleasing them. Scolding and purging women is the point. If there's one thing TRA has taught me, it's how excited men get by punishing women. I always wondered why men put so much effort into the witch trials of yore - women were already subjugated, why not rest easy? Why make all the effort to humiliate, torture and kill so many women? The answer is they enjoy it. It's a hobby for some, a vocation for others. They can't feel dominant without actively invading and terrorizing women's spaces. They need our suffering and defeat to feel alive.

Putting women "in their place" must be part of their kink.

[–]OrangeFirefly 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This is insane. Women do not benefit from this ideology at all.

[–][deleted] 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I love it how one person is like "if you want to start a PCOS sub for women only go ahead"--- and the fact is that if someone DID attempt that, their sub would be deleted and they would be banned from reddit.

[–]Nona_Biba 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

That actually happened. Someone started truepcos for women who identify as women and it was banned within hours.

[–]blahblahgcer 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Holy fuck, that's horrible.

[–]materialrealityplz 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

reddit is a shithole and people should stop using it. It's been completely taken over.

[–]materialrealityplz 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

But like........ I just don't get it. r/PCOS was for only women. Because men don't have it.

Why the fuck can't they create their own spaces. Why do they destroy our spaces?

[–]RuminatingOracle 16 insightful - 2 fun16 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Why do so many women fall for this bullshit? What do they get out of being a handmaiden?

[–]yishengqingwa666 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They are spared the abuse that women who stand up to male bullshit receive. Also: Societal Stockholm Syndrome.

[–]venecia 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's good to feel virtuous and inclusive, especially as women who are raised thinking we have to think about everyone else before ourselves.

God fucking help you the day it dawns on you that people who proclaim to be one of us don't seem to want the burden of selfless sacrifice for the good of the group because they were never raised as women. The day you realize it's all about them, and they want to be considered women without any of the pesky downsides like deference and emotional labor that they still demand as if they were still men, and as if we are still women who owe these not-men endless emotional caretaking and eggshell walking.

Then it all falls into place.

[–]RuminatingOracle 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I see that. And I would have been parroting TWAW in the past too. The absolute filth that has been piled on women from TRAs has changed my mind.

[–]materialrealityplz 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They get to feel good. For awhile. Self-righteous, gold woke star and all. But, eventually, they will be eaten too.

The denial of reality and basing everything on feelings instead of reality can't last forever.

[–]Coconaut 15 insightful - 2 fun15 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

There was one comment saying the sub should be welcoming to trans women who wanted to discuss their own problems with hormone pills, i.e. people who don’t have PCOS but want to interrupt everybody else to talk about their own issues.

[–]WeaselUnderground 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

https://ibb.co/TLPcTtp

Apparently, trans women need to be included bc nobody can relate to women with pcos as well as trans women. Except other women with Pcos, which is literally the point of the sub. JFC.

Removeddit is useful for seeing which posts are deleted from a thread. For example: https://www.removeddit.com/r/PCOS/comments/hmlhjc/rpcos_is_an_inclusive_community/

[–]RestingWitchface 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Apparently replacing the word woman with "people with ovaries" wasn't enough, because they still come in and put "people without ovaries" in charge of a sub for PCOS!!! You know, polycystic ovarian syndrome. What business does a male have being a mod of such a sub? They don't! Unless the real reason they are there is to control what women can and can't say about our bodies. Patriarchy in action.

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I love how they're like "IT WAS R/GENDERCRITICAL! THEY BRIGADED US" like come on you dipshits, r/GC doesn't exist anymore. The "TERFiness" is coming from inside the house (in this case, your own damn user base). They do love their boogeywomen scapegoats.

[–]Lemonade_Masquerade 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They really underestimate how much women outside of their barricaded echo chambers tend to be... kinda terfy. You know, being female and all and knowing that being female has a non-zero impact on their lives.

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Thanks for putting this up!

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There is no reality testing in trans world now. Reddit has acquiesced to the TRAS and thrown women out to boot.

It makes me sick.

[–]PurpleAmathea 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

So awful =(

Fuck these revolting pervert men in dresses.

[–]threefingersam 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Sad that the r/PCOS sub devolved like that. So much for talking about real-life medical issues that affect women :/

[–]yishengqingwa666 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Men ruin everything they touch.

[–]Amareldys 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

What exactly were the "transphobic" comments people were saying.

[–]venecia 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Near as I can tell, here is what happened. This is just hearsay so someone correct me if I've got it wrong.

Women were in r/pcos talking about how much it sucks. A woman was talking about how she saw a before and after transition picture of a transwoman, saying something to the effect of how it was depressing that the TW managed to look more feminine and beautiful than herself after years of treatment. She obviously had mental health issues.

This could have been a moment to emphasize with women with PCOS who get absolutely terrible comments about the androgenic effects of the disease and how it makes them feel as women. Something poor, dysphoric transwomen should absolutely know something about. But NOPE! Instead, it was time to leap on that woman for being transphobic (''OIC! YOU'RE SAYING YOU FIND IT DEPRESSING SHE LOOKS MORE FEMININE THAN YOU DO BECAUSE SHE'S A TR***Y'') and generally harassed the poor woman until she said she felt suicidal and deleted her account.

Then came the pushback thread: https://snew.notabug.io/r/PCOS/comments/hl5dbz/why_is_is_always_the_femaleoriented_subs/

And then came the screenshotted thread OP put up for us.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The reddit admins were already eyeing up PCOS for a brigade because the GC posters they tagged and flagged were going to the PCOS sub. They were looking for an excuse to pounce.

Thanks!

There's a mod, bardfinn, a transactivist... plainly says that PCOS was somehow "Gender Critical" and that women stating it's a woman's disease = hate speech.

This person has a shit load of pull or power for some reason, and he/she/it clearly despises women.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AgainstHateSubreddits/comments/hnjx61/after_losing_rpcos_rgendercriticalguys_goes_after/

[–]blahblahgcer 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They made /r/pcos_folks and that still wasn't good enough for them??? Holy fuck.

[–]Lele 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I hope women (adult human female) leave this subreddit so there will be only transwomen and men that discuss with each other the problem they have with their ovaries. Very inclusive!

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I wonder if itll peak more people.OhgodIhopeso.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

https://www.reddit.com/r/AgainstHateSubreddits/comments/hnjx61/after_losing_rpcos_rgendercriticalguys_goes_after/ comments from bardfinn, a transgestapo power mod from against hate subreddits who seems to have an inordinate amount of pull:

PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome. Transgender men and "cis" men with "anomalous" ovarian tissue develop PCOS; the Gender Critical bigotry worldview is that only women can develop PCOS because to them, anyone with "a legitimate" set of ovaries is a woman / anyone "whom nature intended to have" a "legitimate set" of ovaries is a woman -- and that "including men" in that discussion / support is oppressive towards women.

They've lost this argument, because

While the rule on hate protects such groups, it does not protect those who promote attacks of hate or who try to hide their hate in bad faith claims of discrimination.

-- Reddit Sitewide Rule 1, "Identity or Vulnerability"

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

If anyone wants to bother, check out this person's comment history bardfinn Totally unhinged in terms of his/her obsession with Gender Critical. Is a big time Contrapoints fan. Some of the comments are vile. Insists pornography has nothing to do with hating women, for example, that GC posters are neo-nazis, that women who claim PCOS is a woman's disease are bigots.
Send a message to reddit regarding moderation issues, although I know I won't get feedback. This mod is obviously obsessed with connecting GC posters to neo-nazis and is using that as an excuse to ban/track us. He/she even admittedly created fake subs at one point to "catch extremists". Totally bizarre.

What's sad is that TRA's invaded PCOS, and the users fought back. And they blocked the users there.

And it was overrun with transwomen. Not transmen.

PCOS is believed to be caused by high testosterone. Transmen take testosterone. Yes, some of the symptoms overlap - the hair loss, the damage to the organs, etc - but the cause is different.

[–]TurkishCoffee 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

PCOS has other horomonal issues than just high testosterone. I have it. and i've long been upset that a lot of things are covered for transwomen and nobody cares what PCOS does to female bodies. At all. God this is so disgusting on reddit's part.

I'm only on there for a couple subs that will likely get banned and some niche hobby stuff, but i've noticed that the hobby subs seem to just sort of "ignore" the transactivism that comes through because, not that many TRAs actually pick up hobbies to post about. I wonder how long till those subs get banned anyhow for some reason or another. Someone posts something they consider transphobic I'm sure...
