I often just choose whats going on in my head.

The Quetzal is a bird and a symbol of freedom, because it can't be held in captivity.. Porcelain is fragile yet beautiful. I thought of a username and this was the first thing that came to mind.

The national bird of Guatemala. :) They're beautiful birds.

I had a flair "Old School Gay" on reddit, and moved here with GC, however, to make it more clear that I am not a woman, I decided to take name that have "gay" in there. And one user called me "old dinosaur" few times, so I've chosen "Mezozoic" as first part of the name.

[–]CatbugMods allow rape victim blaming in this sub :) 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Catbug from bravest warriors was great. Ladybug cat thing that uncontrollably travels between dimensions occasionally and is related to a universe ending worm.

Yay! Me!

Also, my real name is hidden in there too.

Hey, thanks for sharing. I was saying your name way more exotically in my head.

[–]Yayme 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well I kind of regret sharing now. I want to be exotic!

cat+ouroboros. Inspired by Styxhexenhammer666's ouroboros avatar on YouTube. I am a cat person and often chase my tail so it seemed apt.

Interesting

[–]queerone 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I can't speak for others who label themselves "queer" but queerone is a perfect self-description of me: an anomaly, an outsider, a "cis" (stupid word!) lesbian, and a quirky gal who was born far too early but miraculously dodged a million complications.

anony For avoiding the real-world consequences of gender blasphemy: doxxing, stalking, lawfare, violence.

male It feels important that people here know my sex in order to evaluate my posts fully, and that people see there are gender-critical men.

It was the title of a podcast and I liked the sound of it. Don't remember the content of the podcast itself, lol.

Was like in 2014 or so so I picked it for my Reddit name because I've always liked political-type debate online but the name was a way of trying to remind myself of keeping an eye on the "distant glimmer" of places where I agree with someone I'm arguing with which is often challenging in arguments. I don't know, it actually seemed actually pretty appropriate when I got involved in the old debate sub even if it's usually hard to really find any common ground with TRAs.

Doesn't fit so much here as I mostly agree with everyone who posts but I just kept it so people from Reddit would know who I was.

I'm sinking like a stone in the sea, I'm burning like a bridge for your body.

Wow, everyone has such creative usernames!

I made this as a throwaway account to post a personal story in one of the PeakTrans threads on GenderCritical. Never imagined I would use it for anything more than that, but then I found the debate sub. I feel like I can’t really change it since I’ve been using it for years now, but I feel like I’m pretty safe from doxxing because it’s not associated with me anywhere else in my life.

My engineer friend all time saying to me: "There is nothing more permanent than temprorary". Mostly it is about "Something is broken and need very fast fix, so I will fix it fast somehow, it will be temporary, and then later I will fix it normally".

[–]worried19[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I figured yours had something to do with peak trans.

A lot of people's names are really creative. Mine is just a throwaway, too.

I have chronic depression. It just describes how I feel.

Glad you are here! Sorry to hear about the reason for the username. 😕

Thanks. And it’s not that bad. Therapy has been a real blessing.

Happy to hear that. :)

Hey, welcome! I thought we wouldn't see you again. I'm glad you made it here.

Thanks for sharing about your username. I didn't realize there was a sad backstory to it.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Decided to move over. And it’s not quite that bad. I’ve made improvements with it so most days aren’t that bad.

[–]worried19[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Good to hear you're doing better.

[–]shveya 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

My username means "seamstress" in Russian. I'm neither an actual seamstress, nor Russian. I just like the Russian language, and I do like to sew.

[–]worried19[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Boring story. I had lurked on Reddit for months before making an account to post a question on r/sex. I was worried about something and my age was 19 at the time, hence the name. I just keep it because everybody knows me by it now, so I don't want to switch.

[–]peakingatthemomentTranssexual (natal male), HSTS 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I like your name.

I just keep it because everybody knows me by it now, so I don't want to switch.

Same.

I am a fan of Horus, as the Son of God and possibly the true Christ, with Jesus having been made up as a copy by the Jews to suit their objectives. It's a hypothesis anyway. I'm not saying it's true or I believe it, but some people do.

Anyway I'm a fan of Horus, but on most platforms, Horus is taken. For example on Steam, even 15 years ago or however long it's been around. So I picked Horrux as a similar name. And it stuck since then.

[–]worried19[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I initially read it as Horcrux and assumed it was Harry Potter-related.

[–]susandeath 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I am a huge fan of Terry Pratchett and Susan Sto Helit the granddaughter of DEATH is the character I identify with most.

[–]levoyageur718293 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Shortly before I created a new username to participate in gender critical on Reddit, I'd been on a deep wiki dive about ice hockey and French Canada. The "voyageur" thing stuck.

Some might think I'm a guy because I have "Mr" in my name, but it's actually a reference to the Queen song "Don't Stop Me Now". Specifically, the lyrics "I'm burning through the sky, yeah/200 degrees, that's why they call me Mr Fahrenheit". The 46 refers to 1946, the year Freddie Mercury was born. Also, does anyone know how to make a flair for the name?

[–]worried19[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Hey, good to see you! I wasn't sure if we'd lost you after the banwave. We did lose many people, but a lot of the old gang is here.

Thanks for sharing the story of your name. I think you can add a flair over on the right hand side. There's a little box that you can check that says "Show my flair on this sub. It looks like: (your name)" and then there's a little edit link to the right.
