I've carried the small ones through security many times. I have a few of the different types and also recommend them. (Maximum blade length in the UK is 3" for foldable knives, so I rarely bother adding any to checked luggage, and I try to avoid checking luggage.) We could perhaps discuss the quality of the steel, which is not as good as some of the knives you purchase. I have some of those high-carbon knives as well. But I've made very good use of a broad range of the Victorinox knives since the 1970s and have been happy, in general with them. For example, I still have a large chef knife from the mid-1970s, which has been easy to sharpen and has stayed sharp for longer periods than my fancier high-carbon Japanese kitchen knives, which are razer sharp but require regular sharpening.

Boyscouts was destroyed because it promoted masculinity. It was a multi pronged attack. On one front they slandered it as a pedophile hotzone. Sowing distrust and using lawsuits with insane verdicts to bleed out all the money. At the same time the progressively forced more pedophilia in by first allowing gays then trans. They got people on the inside to sell off boyscout owned property with invaluable value at firesale prices to "pay the verdicts".

They even made it intermural, a move that equally hurt the girl scouts, simply because having girls there justifies all kinds of internal policies and practices that undermines the nature of the boyscouts and makes it impossible to promote masculinity.

Airport security isn't going to know there isn't a blade without examining it, and a random TSA goober may or may not make a big deal about the scissors.

Seems kinda useless.

Imo they sent you another knife cause they're cheap as shit to produce despite the price tag. I'm not a big fan of Victorinox knives.

I just keep my pocket knife in checked luggage.

You can buy one of those bladeless knives here: https://www.victorinox.com/en-FR/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Small-Pocket-Knives/c/SAK_SmallPocketKnives/

But there are currently no restrictions to carrying those tiny knives on international flights, as I do regularly. The market for this bladeless knife is the cautious traveller who doesn't want to worry about a potential search for one (though they are permitted). 10 years ago or so I was required to snap the blade off of one of these 'classic SD's before going through security. I sent it to Victorinox asking about repair options and they sent me a new one. I doubt it was under warranty. So another reason for a bladeless version is to have a potential excuse not to replace one with a snapped-off blade (as you have the option for a bladeless version). Perhaps the concern about blade restrictions is a joke. IDK.

Islamists should probably not have been allowed (certainly not en masse) into Europe,
which is almost defined by its fight and victory against the idiocy of Islamism.

This religious ideology has managed to make (close to two billion) humans
prostrate themselves daily, face to the ground, ass in the air,
several times a day, towards some black stones in Saudi Arabia,
fantasizing that this pleases some deity. :/

Now, whereas Christianity (which at some point was arguably no better than Islam)
has become rather civilised today, the Mohammedans appear unwilling to eschew barbarism.

So, chances are that they will probably never rise above their dark dogmatic nonsense.

I am amazed that Germany is allowing this nonsense to go on. I have met many Germans in my life who love their country and their customs. How the hell can you have any sort of love for your country when you allow these animals to hold an actual rally?

I think the time for just muttering, "Send em back" is gone. I think we should actively repatriate these people right now to where they want to be. And if the Government won't do it, we should. Make sure they know that they are not welcome here. Them and their caliphate are not tolerable. Refuse to serve them in shops, refuse to pay them any common courtesy, do not address them by their names.

Sure.

On the other hand, laws are created/invented according to mentality/ideology.

And so, depending on the society/time, something that's harmful or even potentially catastrophic can be legal,
e.g. money in politics, lobbying, copyright trolls, Monsanto, mass immigration, health insurance companies, spying on citizens, corporate-police states, greed-driven ecosystem destruction, unjust wars, etc.

And something that's not harmful or even beneficial can be illegal,
e.g. freedom of speech, some political views, sharing information hidden by corrupt governments, using medicine paywalled by sociopaths, having a gun, etc.

Governments try to, or, rather, should try to, figure out how to make the minimum amount of laws required for a good/civilised world ...

but mentality does matter.

Seeking a profit is, of course, understandable,
when it aims at people making a decent living

But unchecked greed-driven mentalities,
which can only think in terms of financial profit,
lead us on a dangerous path.

This is but a mild example of the apparent
stupidity/folly/sociopathy.

If it cannot be repaired then there is no use making a law regarding its disposition

There are three reasons:

1) Environmental. This ensures that the parts that can be recycled or reused in other vehicles are recycled or made available to other car owners. It ensures the toxic fluids and materials are treated.

2) Economic benefit to car owners. To assist in getting good used parts to repair vehicles.

3) Legal. To make it difficult for criminals to sell a car out of parts from several stolen vehicles to hide its origin.

There's at least three reasons he should be in jail.

I'm saying he's not in jail because he used the power of the presidency to shut down the investigation into Russian collusion.

He's also got one of his own judges in the documents case delaying that case for him, so that he can shut it down if he wins the next election.

The election obstruction case is being held up by the supreme court, presumably for the same purpose.

It appears that the federalist society has effectively removed the rule of law in the United States.

But he's also broken state laws, when he set up the fake elector's scheme. Georgia is the only state that has brought charges, and he's playing delaying tactics there too. But that one was always going to come to a head after the election: but the federal DoJ can't directly stop it.

They're trying to make used parts more able to be located, which will increase the longevity of all vehicles, by reducing the cost of repairs. It will also identify illegal vehicles. No one's power is taken, except from criminals. If you own a car you get more power to fix it.

  • The EU is not considering banning repairs to any vehicle. That is a lie, trying to manufacture outrage.
  • The legislation does not differentiate between ICE and BEV. That is a lie, designed to outrage people who's political position includes the belief that "big solar" is distorting the public conversation as much as big oil.

Only if you haven't had your car stolen, or been sold a car from stolen parts.

But laws aren't about how they affect you personally. They're there for everyone.

The point is the article from the game news website is misinforming that it has to to with ice cars, and that the EU is considering banning repairs. Both are completely wrong.

Your claims are fucking ridiculous.

What's your best evidence that Niue has tried to breach any other country's voting machines?

Nothing. That's because most countries don't try to breach voting machines.

It tries to do two things. Track second hand parts to make the repair of older vehicles cheaper, or in some cases, possible.

And the same tracking makes it harder for criminals to sell a car that has been slapped together either from various stolen vehicle parts or from parts from written off vehicles that would fail to meet standards.

The Mueller report details it.

No they don't.

The facts are clear, and they haven't sunk in yet.

Here they are again:

The proposed legislation does not ban repairs on vehicles of any age, and did not differentiate between ice and electric vehicles.

The article is one of these attempts to manufacture outrage, by reporting fake news.

If a car needs a repair, any part may be changed as long as the vehicle is fit to pass the roadworthiness inspections and remains authorised to operate on the EU roads.

Understand yet?

They also made attempts to breach voting machines.

When Trump put Barr at the head of the DoJ, he stopped all the proceedings against him. As well as buried the evidence of obstruction in the mueller report by simply lying about it, and not releasing the report until the news cycle has moved on.

That doesn't mean he's not guilty. That means he used his position to shut down the investigation.

The investigation produced 37 indictments; seven guilty pleas or convictions;
and compelling evidence that the president obstructed justice on multiple occasions.
Mueller also uncovered and referred 14 criminal matters to other components of the Department of Justice.

Agreed.

They should DEFINITELY not try to establish working relationships before the handoff.

Oh, you think the mueller report was investigating legitimate declared meetings?

The collusion was between the Trump campaign and the Russians, to use Russian modification and the troops from olgino to attack the Hillary campaign.

It is illegal not to declare any thing of value given by a foreigner to a campaign.

It's also illegal to obstruct justice.

This is a case of social contagion. Muslims get to rape with impunity in Europe. Kids from other cultures see this and befriend Muslims. They feel like they can get away with it to. If you do enforce the same morals for an entire country, moral rot sets in.

The same thing happened in America in the 1960s. Blacks let into the mainstream, but not expected to confirm to the mainstream values and morals. Whites who saw blacks getting a free pass said, "Why not me, too?" and thus the counter culture was born. Now American society has been reduced to a war of all against all. Does Austria want to follow suit?

comrade they spent tens of millions of dollars doing this dance when orange father was elected.

Oh, you're pushing the Russian/Trump line on the Muller report too?

1) Donald J. Trump and 18 of his associates had at least 140 contacts with Russian nationals and WikiLeaks, or their intermediaries, during the 2016 campaign and presidential transition.

2) The Mueller report cost about $40 million, and recovered about $42 million in seized assets. The cost to the taxpayer was a small profit.

The "all roads lead to russia" crowd has lost all credibility.

Trump put the sycophant Barr as the head of the DoJ, who:

1) Shut down the investigation
2) Released an incorrect summary saying that they found no collusion, then didn't release the report itself until the news cycle had moved on.
3) Protected Trump from being subpoenaed in the later investigation following up on his crimes, which were out of scope of the Mueller report, but the report still noted what many of them might have been, and that he had not been exonerated.

That you call factual reportage "RUSSIA PROPAGANDISM REEEEEE" is no longer an effective argument to lay against anyone.

You think that the invasion of Ukraine is justified because 1600 years ago, Russia's borders included Ukraine?

No one else does.
