everything I don't like is russian propaganda

LOL

I see you didn't follow any of the links discussing Zero Hedge and Russian state propaganda.

I assume. Although there are people here who support the invasion of Ukraine, and I can't be bothered checking if that includes you. But it's quite possible that you did follow the links and prefer to maintain the lie.

comrade they spent tens of millions of dollars doing this dance when orange father was elected. The "all roads lead to russia" crowd has lost all credibility.

That you call factual reportage "RUSSIA PROPAGANDISM REEEEEE" is no longer an effective argument to lay against anyone. You may as well accuse them of racism whilst you are at it

Oh, you're pushing the Russian/Trump line on the Muller report too?

1) Donald J. Trump and 18 of his associates had at least 140 contacts with Russian nationals and WikiLeaks, or their intermediaries, during the 2016 campaign and presidential transition.

2) The Mueller report cost about $40 million, and recovered about $42 million in seized assets. The cost to the taxpayer was a small profit.

The "all roads lead to russia" crowd has lost all credibility.

Trump put the sycophant Barr as the head of the DoJ, who:

1) Shut down the investigation
2) Released an incorrect summary saying that they found no collusion, then didn't release the report itself until the news cycle had moved on.
3) Protected Trump from being subpoenaed in the later investigation following up on his crimes, which were out of scope of the Mueller report, but the report still noted what many of them might have been, and that he had not been exonerated.

That you call factual reportage "RUSSIA PROPAGANDISM REEEEEE" is no longer an effective argument to lay against anyone.

You think that the invasion of Ukraine is justified because 1600 years ago, Russia's borders included Ukraine?

No one else does.

Wait wait wait this changes everything! People in national government had CONTACTS WITH FOREIGNERS?

Stop the presses!

[–]ActuallyNot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (16 children)

No, not in the national government.

The collusion was between the Trump campaign and the Russians.

[–]iamonlyoneman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (15 children)

oh wait my bad, people who were 100% guaranteed to be in national government. They should DEFINITELY not try to establish working relationships before the handoff. Should have sent orangemanbad UNDER the jail for that.

[–]ActuallyNot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

oh wait my bad

Agreed.

They should DEFINITELY not try to establish working relationships before the handoff.

Oh, you think the mueller report was investigating legitimate declared meetings?

The collusion was between the Trump campaign and the Russians, to use Russian modification and the troops from olgino to attack the Hillary campaign.

It is illegal not to declare any thing of value given by a foreigner to a campaign.

It's also illegal to obstruct justice.

Collusion to ______________

I eagerly await your link to the court cases in re: obstruction

[–]iamonlyoneman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (17 children)

also, this is both an atrocious (read: average for EU) power grab and obviously written by someone whose brother owns a chain of wrecking yards

[–]iamonlyoneman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (15 children)

'we can tell you when your car is beyond the end of its life' is not a power grab

cool

The sentence you seem to be having trouble understanding is:

If a car needs a repair, any part may be changed as long as the vehicle is fit to pass the roadworthiness inspections and remains authorised to operate on the EU roads.

Let me know which of those words is giving you trouble, and I'll be happy to tell you which definition they have in this context.

[–]iamonlyoneman 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (13 children)

I'm neurodivergent, please state your points more clearly

No.

[–]ActuallyNot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (12 children)

I want to (or am paid to) misrepresent EU legislation to make it look like they're proposing a power grab of the rights of car owners.

You're wasting bandwidth with your bullshit.

[–]iamonlyoneman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (11 children)

And yet you keep adding on to it. Curious.

[–]ActuallyNot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

The facts are clear, and they haven't sunk in yet.

Here they are again:

The proposed legislation does not ban repairs on vehicles of any age, and did not differentiate between ice and electric vehicles.

The article is one of these attempts to manufacture outrage, by reporting fake news.

If a car needs a repair, any part may be changed as long as the vehicle is fit to pass the roadworthiness inspections and remains authorised to operate on the EU roads.

Understand yet?

[–]iamonlyoneman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

ok so then

if it can be repaired,

what is the point of the rule,

aside from grasping at any shred of potential power?

[–]Jiminy 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They really hate low income people

[–]iamonlyoneman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The average age of cars in EU is 12 years. The bureaucrats would be voted out if the people who ACTUALLY VOTE were forced to abandon mostly-good cars due to lack of repair ability.
