Just read any news article where they haven't disabled comments. You'll get a story like "Man arrested for abandoning car in the middle of the road" and people will be like "THROW THE BOOK AT HIM! LOCK HIM UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEY! WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT!"

Our politicians quickly realized they couldn't get elected unless they were "tough on crime," and "tough on crime" means "piss anyone off in any way and you'll spend the rest of your life behind bars." And no one will have any sympathy for you.

There are no politicians tough on crime. There are only corrupt people using the jewdicial system however they want. Trump is subject to kangaroo court after kangaroo court but Hillary Clinton gets off Scott free, and the state department employees who literally destroyed evidence in an ongoing investigation are not only not prosecuted but the FBI gives them immunity.

Wow. 60 years is what I would expect for someone convicted of sex trafficking and rape. Not merely taking clandestine pictures. The later is still an invasion of privacy, which is a form of violence, but it does not even remotely approach the severity of kidnapping, forced prostitution, and bodily harm that some children face.

Honestly, putting him on the sex registry for life and making him a social pariah seems like a fair punishment. If he is determined to still be a danger to others, then prison time would also be in order. But let us not pretend that what he did rises to the level of rape or kidnapping.

60 years is way out of line, especially when you consider that on the other side of the coin, some cities don't even prosecute for theft under $1000, and violent criminals get crazy short sentences for murder and rape. This is pretty invasive too and is technically child porn. While I think the sentence is stiff (no pun intended), child porn is pretty serious. This guy is a pos and sold his life short just for a thrill. Fuck him.
