[–]Hard_headed_woman 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I always think of the two movements as

1) LGB people want to live their lives exactly as they are, and to be accepted legally in society including the right to marry.

2) TRAs want to force society to validate them exactly as they aren't, and we are demanded under penalty to play along with their delusions. They are demanding that women give up some of their legal protections to include male bodies in women's spaces, sports, scholarship lists, awards, etc.

(I am happy to use the term transwomen and use the corresponding pronouns, but your trans rights should end when you infringe on women's rights.)

True, but when used in regular conversation and not in a science/medical setting, the word has a somewhat different and negative connotation.

Are you sure you don't have obsessive/compulsive tendencies, as well? Coupled with your depression and anxiety, it's going to be even harder to deal with your issues. I know you said that you're broke, but do whatever it takes to see a doctor who can prescribe medication for you.

In the meantime, try yoga and other relaxation exercises, as well as aerobic exercise. Try to keep your mind and body as busy as possible. I know that is hard to do, but you will get a seratonin lift from the exercise. Repeat daily affirmations. Also, stay away from any type of porn, since it's only making matters worse. You can do this one day at a time.

We are in your corner and pulling for you! Stay safe.

For that she was described as "cold" and "unfriendly."

I'm not sure about this. I think a lot of them have "specialism" at their core. They can't commit to being transgender or lesbian (because they aren't), so they're non-binary and are suddenly part of the alphabet crowd. They're suddenly oppressed and have a cause to fight.

How many of these men actually watched their mothers sitting around the house eating bonbons all day? Ha. Who cooked for them, washed their clothes and got them to school? You can be damn sure, in most cases, it was their mothers!

Good. Children have no business hiding their faces. It's their parents who force them to do this, and while I'm generally supportive of parents' rights, we do give up some rights when our kids attend public school.

I don't like hijabs, either, but they don't impede reading facial expressions, and don't reduce little girls to a blob with no identity. If their muslim identity is important to them, they can wear a hijab.

Unless you plan on raising kids in orphanages, the family and the immediate community will always have a strong influence on children. How do you expect to get a child to practice the violin 5 hours a day without parental involvement? Social programs are supposed to be safety nets to protect families when they fall. They don't and never will replace actual families. That might suck, but it is the reality.

It's not just a money issue, and these kids were excelling. :) They valued the music, they had talent, AND they worked their asses off. :) It's pretty easy to see when you have kids in high school music programs.

With teens and young women, ROGD is how they opt out of the difficulties of being a woman.

With older women, EVEN if they did have dysphoria and wanted to transition, I just don't see most women being that selfish. Most women wouldn't do that to their children, imo.
