No, of course we shouldn't always believe all women, what a ridiculous idea.

We should assess claims based on evidence and common sense.

It's got a lot to do with the economic imperatives of online advertising. Clicks pay the bills. Accuracy does not. The quickest way to build traffic to a website isn't to inform people, or to make them think, but to tell them what they already want to hear, pander to their Belief System.

Think about it: if a mother beat her son to death, that would presumably happen in a private place. How would word of the source of the altercation get out to the press?

That common sense, along with the culture-war stink about the story, makes me suspicious

As far as I can tell, it was a private conversation with Warren, that Warren is just now remembering/reporting, that Sanders denies. So the only source is a political opponent of his who has good reason to paint him in a bad light.

Most of the rest of what you're saying has already been debunked.

What did Bernie Sanders say, when, where? Was it in public, on air, at a speech, or in a private conversation? If in a private conversation, with whom, and who is reporting it now?

What do you mean by "intervene"? Economic/diplomatic/legal?

It seems the core of your moral agonising is whether the nature of the "intervention" takes away the "agency" of the other; it's not clear to me that diplomatic efforts do this.

I think we both agree that persecuted LGBT refugees have a right to asylum.

These articles might be of interest to you. They're about "Western" diplomatic efforts on behalf of gays: 1, 2

Ah, "Western" ;)

Historically, these sorts of "pan" cultural movements are rarely successful: pan-Arabism, pan-Africanism, pan-Westernism.

I don't see "Western culture" suddenly uniting in response to slavery or homophobia (not sure which you're talking about now). France and Germany and the UK and the US and Canada are always bickering among themselves.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Reserve#Structure

The Federal Reserve System has a "unique structure that is both public and private"[49] and is described as "independent within the government" rather than "independent of government".

The U.S.'s Fed derives its authority from Congress and its Governors are appointed by the U.S. President. Calling it private is misleading.

Central banks are privately owned institutions.

No they're not. They're public-sector.

had to be payed back

Most countries never pay off their debt. The United States was debt-free on Jan 8, 1835 and on no other day in its history. Debt is a bogeyman, not something that needs to be realistically worried about in macroeconomic planning.

I mean, governments/central banks have to issue money somehow, and that has to get into people's hands somehow. The normal way is to issue it via banks that then give loans, but why not cut out the middle man?

Vote. Call your officials. Write letters to your officials. Use the legislative machinery. That's what it's there for.
