The linked story has been updated to reflect the uncertainty around why the mother and her lesbian lover gruesomely physically assaulted (repeatedly) and starved the boy.

There is some evidence that the beatings may sometimes have happened when the boy refused to wear girl’s clothes.

Think about it: if a mother beat her son to death, that would presumably happen in a private place. How would word of the source of the altercation get out to the press?

That common sense, along with the culture-war stink about the story, makes me suspicious
