A federal judge ruled Friday that the acting head of the Bureau of Land Management has been illegally serving in his position for more than a year. President Donald Trump appointed William Perry Pendley, a former oil company attorney, to lead the agency in a temporary capacity on July 29, 2019, but the Senate has still not confirmed him to the post. Trump said he would formally nominate Pendley in June but later withdrew the nomination. While serving as director pro tempore, however, Pendley altered the chain of succession at the BLM, making his own post of deputy director the highest-ranking should the director seat go unfilled. He has since sought to open up wide swaths of federal land to oil and gas production. Brian Morris, a federal judge in Montana, blocked Pendley from continuing as the head of the agency. Montana’s Democratic Governor Stephen Bullock originally brought the suit.

President Donald Trump is not a lifelong politician like Joe Biden. He was a businessman; that’s why he was elected. He may not always word things the right way, but that doesn’t take away his ability to run the country.
All the Democrats care about is power and greed; they are no longer the party of John F. Kennedy. All I see is hate in their eyes when they talk about President Trump; I don’t want people like that in power.
President Trump deserves four more years. I hope to God he gets it.

The former superintendent and medical director of the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home are both facing criminal charges in connection with the devastating COVID-19 outbreak at the facility that’s killed at least 76 elderly veterans, state Attorney General Maura Healey’s office said Friday.
In a statement, Healey’s office said Bennett Walsh, 50, the former superintendent, and Dr. David Clinton, 71, were indicted Thursday on 10 counts each alleging they “wantonly or recklessly” committed or allowed bodily injury, abuse or neglect to an elderly or disabled person. They’ll be arraigned in Hampden Superior Court at a later date. Neither man’s in custody.
“We began this investigation on behalf of the families who lost loved ones under tragic circumstances and to honor these men who bravely served our country,” Healey said in a statement. “We allege that the actions of these defendants during the COVID-19 outbreak at the facility put veterans at higher risk of infection and death and warrant criminal charges.”

Discrimination against U.S. citizens -- Times-Leader (West Virginia?) by Nemacolin in LettersToTheEditor
Martin's Ferry, Ohio. Near Wheeling apparently.
Riot gear for protesters? Is this some sort of crowd-sourcing thing? Got a link?
Large department stores choose to discriminate on anyone that chooses not to wear a mask in public.
There is no evidence that prove that mask will stop the spread of any airborne virus.
If so, why are we not told to wear a mask in flu season?
Dr. Fauci admitted he lied about the use of masks not helping so there would be enough for the medical field (some sources report). If masks helped, he could have told us to use cloth made masks.
Then they told us where we could shop. They picked the stores that could stay open.
We did not have the choice to shop in our hometowns. We were not allowed to get a haircut, buy a car, go to the banks, even go to work. What restaurant you could go to. And most of all they said we could not worship in our own churches.
They said what was essential or not.
Who are they?
They are the governors and mayors that we elected to office and do not have the right to make any laws — just to enforce the ones that are passed through our United States Congress or through proper channels such as city council or voting in a state.
There have been no new laws that have been passed that relates to COVID-19 that I’m aware of.
The newspaper reads (last) week Governor DeWine said that fall sports can go on.
That is not his call. There is no law that said we could not have sports. Our governor has overstepped his right and is stepping on our rights with martial law.
This country is becoming Communist. Next the governors will be telling us when we can come out of our house, when we can go to work or shopping, what and how much you can buy.
This needs to stop.
We the people need to wake up and be heard.
And as far as COVID, the information is not correct. There are known cases where people are said to have died of COVID and some of us know this is not true.
How good is the testing when Governor DeWine tested positive in the morning and negative in the afternoon?
Are people that are told they tested positive able to be tested the second time?
Our government never did this much for the flu, cancer, AIDS, swine flu, etc., and (those illnesses) also killed a lot of people in the past years.
Please don’t get me wrong. Any person that dies is a very sad thing and my prayers go out to the families. But we have never been discriminated like we are being now.
You put your loved ones in nursing homes or a hospital and you are not allowed to visit.
This is what they did in the U.S.S.R to the Jews.
Wake up, people, before it’s too late!

Never in the history of the United States of America has there been a national election more important to the traditional survival of this nation.
The left-wing radical left is now better known as the Joe Biden candidacy, which has been hijacked by the domestic terrorists who are blowing up our cities and shooting our police officers.
If Biden should win in November, America will transition to a western socialist state, and will pledge allegiance to China and Islam. The right-wing Christians must stand firm in their belief of God and country.
The main stream fake news media refers to terror in our streets as “peaceful protests.” One of the biggest lies in modern history. These are not peaceful people
Our European ancestors built this great country. These domestic terrorists are burning it down. President Trump calls them for what they are. It doesn’t matter if you are not in love with Trump, but he is the last man standing to put these maniacs in their place.
Pennsylvania is a very critical tally in the overall electoral college vote. You must show up for President Trump on Nov. 3.
Make sure you are registered. Call the Luzerne County voter registration office to be an active voter by Oct. 3 (the deadline to register).
Before the pandemic, Trump gave America the strongest economy in 50 years. He will do it again. Remember, Obama and Biden gave America a recession without a virus.
Wake up and don’t listen to Biden’s lies.
Biden as been in Washington for 47 years and claims to have all the answers now. Wake up, and wake up fast.

Recently retired cop claims NYPD forced him out for legally using medical marijuana by Nemacolin in news
Laws and attitudes about marijuana for medical use have changed — and NYPD personnel policy has not kept up, says a new lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court.
Ex-NYPD officer Robert Cascalenda says he was forced off the job for using medical marijuana, even though a department doctor said he could use it to cope with chronic medical issues as an alternative to dangerous prescription painkillers.
Cascalenda retired Sept. 17 at age 36 after 12 years on the job. He had suffered a series of injuries as a cop that led him to take an array of prescription pain drugs.
But when he turned to medical marijuana, the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau forced him to quit, Cascalenda says in the suit.
“I absolutely could have functioned as a clerical officer in the department … There are hundreds of cops working in those roles,” Cascalenda said

Oldest living Marine veteran turns 107 by Nemacolin in news
Not that any of you care.
When Dorothy Schmidt Cole joined the Marine Corps in July 1943, she wasn’t thinking about the impact her service would have on the Corps or on generations of women to come.
She just wanted that stylish uniform.
“I loved the hats we were wearing,” Cole said in a call with Marine Corps Times on Monday. “It was fun when I got the first complete Marine outfit. I loved it very much and felt right at home with it.”
But the Marine Corps wasn’t Cole’s first choice. She initially wanted to join the Navy — for its hats — but was told she was too short.
And while she downplayed her reason for joining, Cole also said her decision was influenced by the community in her hometown of Warren, Pennsylvania, and the longing for a sense of purpose.
“There were women volunteering with the Red Cross and knitting while sitting in church, so I thought I had to do something,” Cole said. “At the time, I didn’t think I was doing anything great. I knew I was helping our country.”
When Cole found out she was accepted into the Marine Corps Women’s Reserve, she thought she should learn to fly first.

It is hard to understand the continuing attractiveness of the Democrat Party to …
• African Americans — who have regularly voted Democrat control of the overwhelming majority of the 50 largest cities and their police forces. What is it doing for them? Based upon the protests and riots, nothing. Remember, Democrats fought abolition and established the segregation laws.
• Many Christians — whose votes for Democrats impower the party’s ongoing goal to support, promote, facilitate, and get government payment for the Satanic serial killing of scores millions of little humans.
• Unions — whose Democrat votes are for a party that shows no loyalty to them. The party wanted to close Larry Donaldson’s union plant (JSMC), they got upset when the DNC employees expressed a desire to unionize, they regulate and tax employers out of business, and they want to open the borders to unvetted, unregistered immigrants who will take American jobs for much less pay, no fringe benefits, and no taxes. The latter is illustrated by the following true story.
While in Florida several winters ago, a large newspaper reported that a construction contractor for a new development filed a lawsuit against the homeowners in a nearby subdivision for scaring off its employees. Irritated because the contractor’s employees were constantly throwing rubbish into their yards, the homeowners had decided that rotating groups of homeowners would pick up the debris while wearing specially designed shirts. Afterwards, when the contractor’s employees walked past the homes, they would flee in a cloud of sand, thinking that the people in like shirts were from ICE.
The Democrat Party is not a friend of Americans.

Israel Court Says Malka Leifer Can Be Extradited In Child Sex Case by Nemacolin in news

An Israeli court on Monday approved the extradition of a former teacher wanted in Australia on charges of child sex abuse, potentially paving the way for her to stand trial after a six-year legal battle.
Malka Leifer, a former educator who is accused of sexually abusing several former students, has been fighting extradition from Israel since 2014. Leifer maintains her innocence and the battle surrounding her extradition has strained relations between Israel and Australia.
Earlier this month, Israel’s Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Leifer’s attorney over a Jerusalem court’s ruling that she was mentally fit to stand trial, saying it was “putting an end to the saga that has been drawn out for many years.”
On Monday, the Jerusalem District Court ruled that Leifer could be extradited to Australia to stand trial for 74 charges of child sex abuse. The formal extradition now requires an order by Israel’s justice minister.
Leifer’s attorneys said they would appeal an extradition order to Israel’s Supreme Court, saying it would be a “political decision.”
“For those who think that this chapter is now closed, I’m sorry, the process will still last quite a few months more,” said Nick Kaufman, one of Leifer’s defense lawyers.
Critics, including Leifer’s alleged victims, have accused Israeli authorities of dragging out the case for far too long.

Remembering the 30th Anniversary of Operation Desert Storm by Nemacolin in news
The guided missile frigate Reid fired the first shot of Desert Shield/Desert Storm on 18 August 1990 and, later the same day, it was followed by USS Robert G. Bradley. In separate incidents, both ships fired across the bows of Iraqi tankers leaving the Arabian Gulf, the first attempted enforcement actions of United Nations Security Council Resolution 661 (passed 16 August), which declared an embargo on Iraqi oil (and stolen Kuwaiti oil) from leaving Iraq and prohibited goods from entering. The tankers called our bluff and kept going as the actual use of force to enforce the embargo was not authorized by the UNSC until 26 August. Nevertheless, also on 18 August, England and Scott diverted ships in the Red Sea and North Arabian Gulf, the first diversions of Operation Desert Shield. By the beginning of September, U.S. Navy enforcement of the UN sanctions was well underway, averaging 40 intercepts and four boardings per day—1,000 intercepts by 16 September.
On 19 August, the Commander of the U.S. Seventh Fleet, Vice Admiral Henry H. Mauz, was designated as the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command after flying in to Bahrain. By the time the Seventh Fleet flagship, Blue Ridge, arrived in Bahrain on 1 September, three U.S. aircraft carriers and a battleship were already on station in the Central Command area of operations (AOR), ready to counter any further Iraqi aggression. Following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on 2 August, the carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower transited the Suez on 7 August, the same day that Independence arrived in the Gulf of Oman (U.S. Air Force F-16s first arrived in Saudi Arabia on 10 August). Battleship Wisconsin (BB-64) transited the Suez on 17 August and entered into the Arabian Gulf on 24 August. Saratoga (CV-60) came through the Suez on 22 August. A fourth carrier, John F. Kennedy (CV-67), arrived in the Red Sea on 14 September.
The first fast sealift ships arrived on 27 August. As there were no established U.S. bases in Saudi Arabia, without sealift the Air Force and Army would have run out of bombs and ammunition in short order had the war commenced at that point.
The hospital ship Comfort arrived 7 September and Mercy by 23 September. Between 4 and 11 September, 20 Atlantic and Pacific Fleet amphibious ships arrived in the CENTCOM AOR and, by 16 September, all were in the Gulf of Oman, carrying the 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment.

Judging by the number of letters you receive denouncing President Trump and supporting Joe Biden, it tells me either you mostly print pro-Biden letters (let's face it, your paper is biased to the left) or Trump supporters are not writing. I am a Trump supporter and I can't see why anyone in their right mind could vote for Biden. He is a has-been politician and a leading swamp creature. In the 47 years he has been in politics, he achieved nothing. He has insulted the Black community on more than one occasion, but worst of all, let's face it, he is suffering from dementia. I can't believe his own family and his supporters do not see this. Even worse, if he is elected, chances are he will not be able to serve out his term and then we'll end up with Sen. Kamala Harris as president.
Ask yourself do you want a socialist government with your taxes raised, open borders and free health care to illegals or someone like Trump who has done more for Americans in the past 3½ years than in the eight years of Obama/Biden.
America's future depends on four more years of Donald Trump!

Safety without choice is prison (Dothan Alabama) by Nemacolin in LettersToTheEditor
The governor of Alabama was granted power by our legislature to declare an emergency, make rules with the force of law, and extend them indefinitely. Obviously, this is not good law.
Whether you favor the current mask order or not, would you feel the same if it involved the governor’s great concern for other preventable maladies such as heart disease, diabetes (Covid is still 1,000 behind) or traffic accidents? Cumulatively, this is a lot of needless death. Imagine banning French fries, ice cream, and driving faster than 5 mph; certainly even if only one life were saved.
Socialists and communists tend to like absolute power in a very small group of dear leaders. The sanctimonious among us could now glare at scofflaws eating fries. America was built by people who knew consolidating power always ends up badly. I side with our founders and enjoy messy freedom. Contact your state legislator and let them know they need to reign in absolute power and set it to a reasonable, short, period. The legislature can convene to work out long-term actions as a law – not an order. Safety without choice is prison ( Benjamin Franklin).

Queen Elizabeth II has stripped disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of royal honors that he was awarded almost two decades ago.
Weinstein was made Honorary Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 2004.
“(The title) shall be cancelled and annulled,” said the Friday order from the Queen. “His name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order.”
The title was rescinded by a royal Forfeiture Committee. The honor can be revoked once a recipient is convicted of a crime and sentenced to more than three months in prison, officials said.
Being stripped of an honorary title is the latest blow against Weinstein, who is facing 23 years in prison after being convicted of criminal sex act and rape earlier this year.

US bans WeChat, TikTok citing national security by Nemacolin in news
The U.S. Commerce Department said Friday it will ban Chinese-owned TikTok and WeChat from U.S. app stores on Sunday and will saddle the apps with technical restrictions that could seriously limit their functionality in the U.S.
The order, which cited national security and data privacy concerns, follows weeks of dealmaking over the video-sharing service TikTok. President Donald Trump has pressured the app’s Chinese owner to sell TikTok’s U.S. operations to a domestic company. It is not clear how the latest prohibitions will affect a deal recently struck by California tech giant Oracle aimed at satisfying U.S. concerns over TikTok’s data collection and related issues.
TikTok expressed “disappointment” over the move and said it would continue to challenge President Donald Trump’s “unjust executive order.” The Commerce Department is enacting an order announced by President Donald Trump in August.
Google and Apple, the owners of the major mobile app stores, did not immediately reply to questions. Neither did WeChat owner Tencent. Oracle, which has proposed a deal with TikTok aimed at averting such a ban, also did not reply.
“At the President’s direction, we have taken significant action to combat China’s malicious collection of American citizens' personal data, while promoting our national values, democratic rules-based norms, and aggressive enforcement of U.S. laws and regulations,” Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said in a prepared statement.

Members of a synagogue in Montgomery, Alabama, who came together for a pre-Rosh Hashanah video call on Zoom last weekend were subjected to foul antisemitic and racist abuse by a group of outsiders who hacked — or “Zoom-bombed” — the event.
Speaking to the Montgomery Advertiser on Tuesday, Rabbi Scott Kramer of Agudath Israel Etz Hayim Synagogue recalled that about 50 congregants had turned up for the meeting on Saturday night, for the purpose of reflecting on the past year and setting goals for the new year, 5781, that begins on Friday night.
But shortly after the meeting began, as many as seven hackers intruded on the proceedings, bombarding participants with anti-Semitic invective and imagery, along with racist and homophobic barbs.
“Screens came up of very shocking imagery of Hitler, swastikas and I thought some pornographic images,” Rabbi Kramer said of the 10-minute onslaught.
“It was chaotic,” he recalled. “Then voices came in screaming at everyone using bad language, antisemitic language, telling us, ‘You should go back to the showers,’ which is of course a reference to the Holocaust.”
72-year-old Micki Beth Stiller, one of the attendees, said that she had never before experienced something so disturbing.

No. I am drawing on my experience.
Yeah. That must be it. President Trump can violate the Constitution because he knows better.
It was in the PDR. That is as verified as anything gets. But that stuff is verified by National Technical Means and so is very classified.
I cannot even parse your sentence. What conditional are you trying to use?
Well, I am sure some Palestinians are not Muslims. Also a lot of Israelis are already Muslims. I have not looked at the numbers in years, but about 20%.
One of Alabama's richest men kidnapped in Birmingham home; Suspects arrested by Nemacolin in news
Elton B. Stephens, Jr., the retired CEO of EBSCO Industries, was reportedly kidnapped from his bed last Friday and held for ransom. He is currently safe, and two suspects are in custody.
EBSCO is one of the state’s largest privately held companies, with annual sales of about $3.2 billion as of 2018 counting subsidiaries. Stephens is the son of the company’s late founder. Their family was estimated to have a net worth of $4 billion as of 2014, per Forbes.
Alabama Media Group on Thursday reported that Blount County’s Matthew Amos Burke, 34, and Tabatha Nicole Hodges, 33, have been charged with burglary, kidnapping an adult for ransom, extortion and theft of property.
The pair allegedly broke into a Birmingham home Stephens is renting in the early morning hours of this past Friday. When Stephens awoke that morning, Burke was standing over him, per reports.
Burke and Hodges are alleged to have robbed the house of valuables and three firearms.
They reportedly threatened to kill Stephens if he did not comply with them or if he attempted to call for help.
“They took him to a trailer in St. Clair County where they had him wire $250,000 into their account. They returned him to his home about 4:30 p.m. [on Friday]. Police were called,” Alabama Media Group wrote.
Law enforcement officials declined comment on the pending case. Stephens says he did not previously know the suspects.

Well, the demographics are only going one way.
There is no "and." It is not count everyone and determine which are citizens. It is not count everyone and arrest some of them. It is not count everyone and reform the calendars or do anything else.
It is just count everyone like the law requires. Just do what the Constitution requires.
Heart attack patient dies, 11 people injured, after FDNY truck crashes into ambulance in Brooklyn by Nemacolin in news
Two life-saving efforts ended in tragedy when an FDNY truck headed to a Brooklyn fire slammed into an ambulance rushing a heart attack victim to the hospital, with the patient killed early Thursday and another 11 people injured, police said.
The lights were flashing on both vehicles when the collision occurred at a Bedford-Stuyvesant intersection, leaving a woman critically injured inside the ambulance as she rode along with the victim, officials said.
Six firefighters and two paramedics were also hospitalized, along with two people struck inside a nearby car while stopped at a traffic light, cops said.
The patient, identified by family as Jamil Almansouri, 59, was headed to Woodhull Medical Center when the ambulance was T-boned by a fire truck from Ladder 102 at the corner of Myrtle and Throop Aves. at 12:51 a.m., police said.
