As much as I liked and agreed with the opening of your article (JS is total garbage), I disagree about your lack of proper engineering ethic later on by trying to do premature optimization. That’s what amateur software programmers do who never make it into the day light while hiding in their cave of idealism forever chasing the wrong ideals. The right ideals is serving people. That’s above everything else. If you won’t ship code fast enough because you’re over tinkering performance, the customer fires you. It’s that plane and simple. Be a software engineer not an amateur. Engineering is all about starting with the current requirements and correct basic assumptions, and then iterating from there by using the right tools for the job that are good enough in serving the customers. It doesn’t have to be rocket science. I’m fact, that’s the problem of most JS frameworks. They overengineer things to death as if it’s rocket science. It’s not. Just use the best tool for the job, which might sometimes require libraries and might other times require performance tweaking, but neither is the end goal. The end goal is always serving the customers the best way possible.
