Reminds me of the Liberal Couple who went on vacation in Afghanistan to show the people there were good people. They got kidnapped and murdered.

Really sad stuff.

I looked it up. It seems there's strong evidence that the killer was a paranoid schizophrenic and he genuinely doesn't know why he killed her.

He was sentenced to 40 years last month.
