Early Life

Hotez was born in Hartford, Connecticut, to a Jewish family.[3]

I love the term, 'human cockroach hybrid' (^ 😆), but here's were we disagree, "Dr" Phooey:

First: '"Dr."': Peter Hotez:

Received a BA in molecular biophysics and biochemistry magna cum laude (Phi Beta Kappa) from Yale University in 1980, a PhD from Rockefeller University in 1986, and a Doctorate in Medicine from Weill Cornell Medical College in 1987. His doctoral dissertation and postdoctoral training were in the areas of hookworm molecular pathogenesis and vaccine development. ref

In addition to continuing work on vaccines already in clinical trials for hookworm and schistosomiasis, Hotez currently leads a team of researchers developing vaccines against other diseases including leishmaniasis, Chagas disease, SARS, and MERS, and is also working in development of a Coronavirus vaccine. With Maria Elena Bottazzi, he led the team that designed COVID-19 vaccine Corbevax.

He's what we could call an expert of the highest order on the subject of vaccines.

Second, Peter Hotez is obviously correct that Spotify, Rogan and RFK Jr are spreading misinformation and that there are many followers of that misinformaiton. It doesn't require a mental heavyweight to understand this and how dangerous it is to have a large following of people believing in lies.

Third, Rogan isn't doing RFK Jr any favors by bringing more attention to the ONE ISSUE that will make him unelectable. I think RFK Jr is absolutely spot-on regarding all of the issues EXCEPT vaccine misinformation. He cannot deny science and facts and have any hope of being a contender in any political election. To my knowledge RFK Jr has tried to avoid discussions of vaccines in recent weeks. Rogan essentially used RFK Jr for Spotify $$$, without any interest in helping RFK Jr with the campaign.

Fourth, I find it interesting that E Musk has also been critical of the Dr, according to the article. This helps expose Musk's intention for Twitter as a misinformation engine that will support right-wing governments globally. What an evil SOB. Thanks for the info. (^ 💡)

Are you in the tribe ?

Thats funny, when I referenced Dr. Robert Malone's or Dr. Pierre Kory's similarly impressive credentials you seemed strangely less interested in credentialism

[–]UncleJemima 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (24 children)

I've not heard of 'credentialism' which seems to be a politicized version of credentials?
If I look up Malone, I see: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/03/technology/robert-malone-covid.html (Robert Malone Spreads Falsehoods About Vaccines....)

If I look up Dr. Pierre Kory, I see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Kory (Pierre Kory is an American critical care physician who gained attention during the COVID-19 pandemic for advocating widespread off-label use of certain drugs as treatments for COVID-19, as president and co-founder of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC))

I've not read any compelling reason to believe in anti-vax lies and anti-science misinformation?

You just quoted me two paragraphs of his educational and career credentials.

Rather than do the same for Malone, who is a world renowned immunologist and the lead author of the paper pioneering the technique used in mRNA vaccines - you dismiss his opinion SOLELY based on disagreeing with his conclusion. If these experts that are just as qualified as Hotez disagree with your 'expert' opinion, it is 'anti-science'? Thats not how science works, you are spreading misinformation because you have not reviewed the entirety of the valid scientific opinions, yet feel qualified to debunk them anyway, or just cite that some else has debunked them without understanding or reviewing yourself the basis of these claims. It is purely an appeal to authority fallacy, and this is an NPC argument

I don't know about their qualifications. They spread misinformation, so that tells me something about them.

My point about credentials is solely in reference to the "Dr." in the title, as I note that Hotez is indeed a Dr, not a "Dr.". He also doen't spread misinformation, so that would make him somewhat more qualified than those who spread misinformation. My main points are #s 2-3.

How have you determined that this is 'misinformation' if you don't know their qualifications or haven't compared and contrasted the claims and data in the competing theories of disagreeing experts

The articles I linked to and other items that turn up in a quick search note that both Malone and Kory have been spreading anti-vax misinformation. I assumed they are not lying about Malone and Kory.

Thats real top-notch investigative medical research Dr., you sure showed me how to science

[–]UncleJemima 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (17 children)

It's of course nothing personal, and I doubt you'll see any of my comments as surpring. There are plenty of users here who will support the anti-vax propaganda, though of course I won't. Dark money paying for the anti-vax websites should be exposed. And I'm not that well educated.

No, I'm not surprised. But your slurring of people who have a different conclusion is totally unjustified when you are taking this position dogmatically on faith rather than an understanding of the data and arguments underlying the positions. You aren't sufficiently informed on the science to be tossing around these accusations unless you have examined the relevant claims and evidence - especially when there are credible experts with dissenting opinions - and you have not done this

You're basically saying "I believe people who agree with my beliefs". You have 🤡🧠

The can of worms opened by such a debate would inevitably prove mass negligent homicide at best. Hotez is party to a massive operation where an experimental injection billed as a vaccine was distributed and people were coerced into effectively becoming experimental animals.

Now large numbers are dealing with adverse reactions or dying off. A debate on the topic is risky as it could serve to awaken too many to the nature of the crime that was committed against them.

Watch him run.

I was following this in real time on Twitter. Hotez declined to debate and a whole shit load of "scientists" came out of the woodwork defending his decision. Besides the reasons listed here, as you can imagine at least one trotted out the old "not for the common man to understand, just trust me bro." Condescending pricks.

I helpfully accused them of being afraid.

At least one doctor did agree to a debate, not sure if he's welcome to the show, but I complimented him on his testicular fortitude.

It was crazy, this totally dominated the entire Twitter feed.

Oh and apparently Hotez was a big proponent of giving children the covid shot -- really think there needs to be a line drawn between covid shot skepticism and people against all vaccines -- and I still have not heard of a good reason to give children the covid shot.
