The thing I liked about when d3rr was in charge is how honest he would be.

1000% straight shooter. Resented being "in charge", and even when not, he was always a quiet leader.

Yes, I'd forgotten about that /s/Freedit project, since-abandoned by fschmidt (and team), who's all talk and judgementalism.

The only thing I find annoying is how he seems to be constantly on and off and doesn't really seems to be there when he is there and I find it hard to understand what's going on in his head.

The worst thing that I do to myself, and to others, is have expectations. I can have wishes, but when my hopes have strings attached, it becomes problematic when ultimately some don't manifest and I may consciously or subconsciously express bitterness, resentment, anger, fury, etc. Hosting these negative feelings are like drinking poison and expecting it to harm others. So, in this manner, I try not to have expectations of anyone, occasionally failing, but often delightfully surprised. With d3rr it was always easy.
