New York is indeed following in the same footsteps as Chicago and other once great citys, which fell apart due to the Liberals who occupy them. Their policys are idiotic and destructive. They never re-evaluate their politics even after it fails spectacularly. This is demonstrated by the author himself.

He admits that he fled NYC after watching the Antifa and BLM riots. You'd think this would make him re-evaluate his political opinions. But he does no such thing! The author refuses to condemn the rioters or the policys they advocate, instead he just cuts and runs like a coward. This is typical Liberal behaviour.

It's hard to tell but I'm not 100% sure he's a liberal. Mainstream liberals wouldn't reference the riots at all, or if they did, they would try to justify them or even portray them as "necessary".

This is his position in the article:

The rioting and looting caused him to leave the city. That sounds like a condemnation to me - he stops short of criticizing the protests, but he exposes and criticizes the real problem of rioters. He could be a centrist or someone trying to cover his ass since any criticism of the protests gets you cancelled.

At the very least, he is no longer paying taxes to and thus passively supporting New York City. I would never shame someone who left NYC as "cutting and running".

The problem is these idiots that voted for DeBlasio and Cuomo will move to other States and vote for more Democrats

100% true. Already happening in Texas. Austin has always been liberal, especially compared to the rest of the state, but its crazy whats going on in Texas right now. Its basically becoming East CA. Same with the front range of Colorado, the I-25 corridor is becoming even more liberal and stupid as Commiefornians flood Denver/Boulder/Fort Collins and the surrounding areas.
