False consensus. All leftist regimes are big on it.
It narrows the Overton Window to only acceptable opinions, and anything outside it must be evil heresy. People marinate in it and are genuinely jarred by dissenters. They then have an immune response and reject the crimethink. That's why they police reddit so aggressively. It gives people the false idea that only opinions allowed by reddit are valid.
