I was an early adopter of cell phone then smart phones and early addict then I managed without a mobile phone for a decade or more.
I was thinking of getting a VOIP line to replace my old VPN & phone. I was even going to make a post asking about it.
This Moto G seems like a much better option, though at first glance not quite as cheap as he claims. Perhaps there are used or better markets than his Amazon links.

Moto E6
Got this for about $200, and it works fine. It's the monthly where they get you.
Same here, got a Motorola 1500 back in '88, and have had one since. Monthly bills were around $1200, back then, and no one had any idea wtf you were doing talking into a handset while out.

I was thinking of getting pay as you go. I get maybe a call a week on average - usually someone selling home security, duct cleaning, or telling me that my non-existent credit cards have been charged. I don't need a phone except for rare critical calls.
Ya, back then having a conversation by yourself was odd.

Just paid another ridiculous bill last night. 95% of my calls are spam, and mainly use it to browse when I'm away from my computer, or using the computer for gaming.
I would switch today to a cheap alternative with pay as you go where I could mainly use wifi.

Also, did I ever tell you how much I like your clever username? 😍

Glad you found the link helpful. Thank you re: the username (I think you're serious? I can't tell). I thought I was putting together some cute wordplay on a state of exhaustion, and a week after making it I looked up to see if the term was used anywhere. Lo, drugs. Drugs and cancerous twitter twats. I still feel sort of stupid about it, but persistence, etc.
Also, why did Frasier and Niles have a thick accent while their father was extremely American (the link)?

Serious about the name. :)
Frasier and Niles
A tv show? I actually only watched half of that video, as it started getting old. haha

It had a clip from Cheers, which shot me down Memory Lane right after the partial soul death from seeing a clip from The Little Mermaid sequel.
And yeah, it was very... eh. I only got about 2 minutes in, but I was going to keep that to myself until you mentioned something.

Now I'm wondering what else to mention.

I am a very stylish girl, or is he? I love lounge core. I've got quite a collection of "How do I look?" samples.
I love sample and have been collecting a bunch of themes over the years. I even wanted to start a database for them but it's such a huge fucking task.

Thanks. That $27 plan looks like plenty.

Moto G isn't bad, I used to own one and a couple of Motorola phones (moto X4, moto G4, moto G4 play). Switched to Pixel 4a---but that's based on how I used my phone.
I want to flash either Calyxos or GrapheneOS, haven't decided yet.
I hate google, yet I can't lie that it has a lot of convenient features...for the cost of privacy. :-/
Have you decided what voip to use yet?
I saw your other post--- I heard that voip.ms and mysudo were good but I personally never used either, just heard word of mouth.
Which Moto version did you like best?
This is also food for thought: /s/technology/comments/7sfv/how_to_degoogle_solutionswatch_3127_corbett/
I have only have a few uses for it:
No games. No books. No social media addiction.
