Vietnam, Afghanistan...

Even if a modern military can easily take over a country that has lots of small arms, the cost of occupying a country that has lots of guns is much more expensive than occupying a country that has been disarmed.

The whole point of an armed society is provide a deterrence from bad government actions (be it foreign or domestic).

It's a single pilot aircraft.

The F-15 and F-18 both have dual cockpits for a pilot and navigator. That's overkill.

People use their cell phones for navigation.

What I mean by “not true”, is that a rebellion would not need any F-15s to over throw the government. The issue when a government fights its people is infrastructure.
