Some did for certain, others demanded their parents submit to their whims with institutional support. 'Do you want an alive son or a dead daughter?' was pretty heavy handed by the schools/medical establishment (if you can call the psych industry part of the medical establishment). Kids getting their parents to submit to something outrageous is a power play against authority, as well.

This is the most wicked part about this.

Unlike the emo era, some things of transgenderism are irreversible. Which is terrifying when we are talking about kids and teenagers. Btw /s/LGBdroptheT had a few posts of college students where some people just stopped being transgender.

Alas, props for that Dylan guy. He was smart enough to only get a easily reversible face surgery. He can go back at any time he wants. Also he's not a true "ally" of the cause, I don't know his agenda but he's not on the thing for real. I'm pretty sure he will go back to being a gay man once the fad dies out.

    The whole reason saidit is afloat is because it's not a TyRANNY hellhole. Otherwise why even move from reddit? This website would just die. We have subs like /s/LGBDroptheT /s/GenderCritical and /s/TumblrInAction that would get instabanned on reddit.

    Good to note even more websites are removing their trans fascists. Twitter is now a free speech platform. Wish websites like youtube had more freedom tho.

    I have seen a huge uptick on youtube videos by "real" LGBT people who are essentially tired of fake and dishonest ideologs coopting their community and dictating to the actual community definitions of their own words, how they HAVE to behave, who they are allowed to like (like being told you HAVE to date trans women if you are a lesbian or you are a transphobe and kicked from the community), etc. I have seen a ton of videos pretty much saying they BUILT the trans community and it is tranSEXUAL, as in essentially a fetish, and is not there for people that want to demand they are women or men. They are saying they are their assigned gender, and only dress for women for sexytime/fetish reasons. These are people that have BEEN the community for decades (open or in hiding like The Duke (the dutchess), not johnny come latelies. These people did it when it was frowned on or illegal, when all these new people were not even born. They are finally standing up and saying you do NOT get to tell them who they are, what their community is, or force them to act in any way other than how they want to, that is the crux of their entire community afterall, not conforming to others rules or "norms." Mind you that is their words, not mine, I do not speak for them as I am not in that community.

    I support this 100%, I don't care who you are, you do not get to dictate what I think or do or say. My only hope is with literally everyone, including the LGBT community itself, starting to fight back against this craziness making their communities look like unstable degenerates, I only hope that pendulem does not swing too far back and equality is lost (NOT EQUALITY, that is cancer) and we take steps back. You not telling me what to do, I don't tell you what to do, this includes anyone not an adult IMO.

    What you are describing is still a small movement. People are talking about this in private and it's slowly building up.

    I only saw one news media reporting this, and the only community I found was the LGB Alliance and the /s/LGBDroptheT which came to saidit after being banned of reddit (it happened when they made a new stupid rule basically banned any LGBT community that didn't conform to the "right think", the only communities still existing under that are /r/truscum and /r/detrans).

    It will gain support and movement but it's still not a big thing.

    And I too support them 100%. Trans narratives need a pushback. Thankfully they are doing a lot of damage themselves without needing other people help lol keep shoving your transboobies on family friendly pride parades and governamental buildings! 😂

    Yeah, I can only speak from what I have seen on Youtube thus far. I have not gone out with my buddy and his husband in a good while, life happened, but I certainly am going to ask them directly when I see them next week. The whole thing is crazy to me, who in the world thought it would be a good idea to try and force people who already have mostly written off the rules and demands of the rest of the world and do what they think is right to bend over to the demands of a minority fake crowd in their own community? That is delusional, but then again I suppose I cannot much expect anything different from all these fakers (kinda like TikTok DiD fakers) who are just doing this for the power.

    To me, it is the COMMUNITIES job and responsibility to control their own, and I always call this out for other stuff like apple fans or google fans... and I have always said that you need to hold your own to a HIGHER Standard than how you treat everyone else, but that also means these are the very people you should NOT take shit from and slap the crap out of them to keep them in line, or they make the whole community look bad, a few bad apples or whatever. This really should be no different, and it is a positive thing to see that community finally starting to take back that community from the tyrants. And they need to do it FAST, any positive exposure and steps forward they have made..... has nearly completely been eroded.

      Eh, the body-mod fad that came directly before set this up. I blame myself and my generation - I used to work in a parlor, and we were pushing the boundaries of societally approved body mods - my generation introduced hanging from your back skin, branding, crazy piercing, inserting shit under the skin, splitting tongues, etc. All the acceptance for heavily tattooed and pierced people (despite, at the time, those choosing to do so were doing so to reject society) lead into the lassiez-faire attitude about body modification which allowed it to move into the youth market.

      And the social support for child plastic surgery also lead into this - I had a cousin in the 80s who had elective cosmetic face surgery to remove a mole to 'not ruin her looks' at age 7/8. Women not talking about how many young girls were getting work done (the nose job amongst the wealthy children is alluded to regularly as socially acceptable in that demographic) also lead into the attitude that allowed the sexual body modification fad to happen (also porn).

      You know who did know? The conservatives in the 80s. They totally called it. They said LGB rights would lead to this.

      The article implies the backlash is limited to transgender rights, as support for gay marriage is up. I think that's based on a questionable poll by a LGBT organization.

            Sort of fine before, there weren't many and they didn't have any social power to cause problems, but the underlying philosophies behind it have always been a bit crazy as of course, you need to be somewhat crazy anyway to want to change your gender and go through with it.

            Some of the better adjusted ones that don't deny reality are largely harmless. They just do what they want to themselves and don't care about what other people think about it, but they also typically don't start demanding access to kids or female spaces either.

            Course if you've been poking around online you've seen loads of the crazy ones for years. Usually for someone to feel like they are the wrong gender but not also have some kind of bodily dismorphia it comes with a whole slew of stereotypes about how women are supposed to act and the like beyond simply wanting to wear a dress.

            If that was the end of it nobody would be complaining except very hardline religious conservatives.

            Around 15 years ago, I was working at a domestic violence shelter, and management occasionally brought in speakers for the employees and volunteers. This time they brought in a transwomen to speak, and his rhetoric was pretty much full of the insane rantings that we hear from TRAs today. Even back then, it left me with a very unsettled feeling, and that was my first real interaction with a transwoman. Even the management apologized to us afterwards, I guess they didn't vet him well enough?

            So I guess I'm not surprised they're still saying these things, but I am surprised they've been able to gain so much power.

            The rhetoric from activists has long been awful. I think COVID and the moving of lots of social interaction to the internet really fueled this recent movement, that and the LGBT activist machine needed a new cause.

            Activists I think are the issue, most trans people I've been aquatinted with IRL were often out seeking attention in socially transgressive ways, I think because they were taking out their own inability to accept themselves on society at large, however I've been aquatinted with a couple of people whom I suspect are trans but they are otherwise avoidant of attention and are clearly not activists.

            I think it's still a mental illness regardless but there's far less problems socially tolerating someone who wishes simply to be left alone and ignored vs someone who is constantly seeking the social validation of others by transgressing social norms. I think there's an exhibitionist trend in the modern expression here and they get off on negative attention.

                How is women aren't objects but full-blown humans 'against nature and our own instincts?' Being respected and considered an equal member of society isn't against women's nature - so if it only goes against the nature of the men having a hard time getting a female partner, it's not really "against nature and our own instincts." Just against your own wants and the easy thing for you to blame for not getting laid.

                  You can clearly see this in the decidedly un-feminine personality traits of female corporate higher-ups. They are straight up BITCHES, ready to do pretty much ANYTHING in order to trip up anybody standing in their way, a la gladiator sports.
