Anyone who lives out in the country who does not have a month's worth of food at home is a complete moron. But we're talking about citizens of Cuckifonia. Expecting them to have an IQ above room temperature is a sure sign you are not familiar with anyone from there.

I live in a fairly large village with a Costco nearby and I still have a month's worth of emergency meals and canned goods, rice, beans, etc. and a propane grill in case power goes out. Worse case scenario there is a creek filled with salmon 5 minute walking distance.

People wanting to live far away from mass populations now wanting help from those they are trying to avoid?

What a stupid take.

Why?

You're blaming the victims for a stupid reason. How do you know they are trying to avoid anything? Maybe that is just where their family or work is located. They could be living up there for many reasons. And it implies it is their fault they got snowed in. Should we refuse to help the earthquake victims of Antakya Turkey trapped under rubble because they "wanted to live far away" from remote areas without tall buildings?

I'm not blaming the victims. The local community there has banded together and are helping each other with food, snow removal, and welfare checks. It's in the culture of these rural areas. Maybe this "Help Us!!" is someone not as accustomed to life there. You're right, though. Maybe that person ended up there due to some situation with family.

It does seem ironic, the way you put it. When people try to avoid people, they soon find they need help. None of us can live alone for long. We need each other. And we need God. As Jesus said: love God above all and love your neighbor as yourself.

Another irony is that the people of Crestline, California are still required to pay taxes, including property taxes and income taxes, sales taxes, etc. and yet they cannot depend on the government to help them when they really need the help. This is true for all places in the world, no matter the population density. Man is disappointed when he puts his trust in man, but those that put their trust in the Lord shall not be ashamed.

This is a bad comment.

Chipit is a dummy and you're right. Problem could have been solved with a snowblower. No foresight at all. Like one dude needed a whole squadron of firefighters to dig him out "so he could visit his mother in the hospital". The minute we let society concern troll those who have been snowed in is the moment that the nanny state has triumphed.

A snowblower for 9 feet of snow? Lmao boy you haven’t ever shoveled a driveway foh

I think I could snowblow an extended single lane driveway in 20 foot of snow in less than 10 hours. This is a bet I am willing to make.

The US spends $28 billion per year on FEMA and that is only one entity of many. It is crazy to think where that money actually goes.

They're forced to pay taxes too.
The retarded thing is expecting anything back for it.
Especially since COVID, the mafia state has taken off the mask.

Sacremento despises most of California except the big cities. Northern California is so alienated it might as well be its own state.

Probably California's emergency services are too overwhelmed trying to deal with the junkies in tents all over LA.
