Thoughts on the Australian Aboriginal Voice referendum?

If this would have passed, what would be the consequence?

On Justice Report they say " In a first of its kind referendum a White nation was effectively and rather bluntly asked if it would like to abolish its own sovereignty and officially recognize a non-White people as having the right to supreme influence over the state..."

From what it appears, it seems to be a victory for the White right, although I do respect and would support some advancements for the native populations in the settler nations (without denying the White race's position and birthright to the nation we established and built).

Aussie government has treated them like slaves since forever and why should that change now? BIG difference of Mauri of New Zealand they were never conquered and remain powerful today. Chopped the heads off Brit when they first arrived acting like big dicks back in the 1600's and locals said "no you won't". So they chopped their fucking heads off to prove a point. Brits wised up fast. Aborigine never did. They just folded up and look what happened.

Aboriginals aren't treated like slaves, billions of dollars is spent ever year giving them handouts and building entire communities for them. Wtf are you talking about lmao.

As for Maoris, they survived because the Brisitsh imperial powers allowed them to because they didnt want to commit a genocide. Same reason aboriginals live today, and no genocide did in fact occur.

I live in Australia so I heard a lot about it. Part of it was giving some aboriginal leaders an advisory board in parliament and the other part was a symbolic form of reconciliation. I don't think it would have been that bad if it passed. It was only ever supposed to be an advisory committee but other conservative commentators like to talk about how it might be a slippery slope into something worse (which could've been true).

I find the whole thing ironic that so many leftist who are proud "anti-racists" would support a race-based law going into the constitution. I find the cognitive dissonance somewhat disturbing.

Anyway, regardless of that I don't think its much of a victory at all for the white right. A lot of other immigrants were against it and they certainly have good reasons to be. It was basically a waste of money for a poorly thought out constitutional amendment. Not much of a victory or loss.
