I begrudgingly use pol. On occasion there are very important threads. Current events, new 'gates' (i.e. pizza gate), nutrition threads/supplement threads, culture jamming threads. I learned about iodine on pol which has made a big improvement on my health. I don't really recommend pol to people though. At any given time 60-80% of every post is a 'slide' post or demoralize post or research post. I'd say half or more of all comments are bots or bad faith comments. My brain is accustomed to blocking out the bullshit but most people can't and shouldn't try to do it (more dangerous to the subconsious than people might realize). I agree with you about the captcha bullshit. It makes posting very tedious and I only post in threads I'm VERY interested in like seedoil threads or remoralize threads. Redpill threads and event summary threads can also be very useful. I really love finding gems like these. I'm thinking of starting a s/eventsummaries subverse on saidit for these types of effort write up png files.

This too.

If you follow seedoil stuff you might be interested in this guy:

https://www.youtube.com/@fireinabottle3410 He comments if r/saturatedfat and r/stopeatingseedoils if you ever want to chat with him. He has a very creative/unique brain.

I'm also starting to dip my toe in barefoot running and grounding/earthing science. I really enjoyed this book. Today I'm watching this podcast episode.

Use the filters

Thanks. I used them awhile back but I'm always nervous I'm going to miss something important. Maybe I'll try them again. What are some common filters you use?

Honestly how much more do you really need to know on seed oils beyond "avoid vegetable oils, processed food, cooked fish, and (american) fatty cuts of pork/chicken". Or in a more positive sense, eat beef/shellfish/fruit/honey/milk.

I drop in those threads for a few reasons. I like sharing with people that haven't heard the news. I'm fascinated that the dangers of seedoils have been known for quite some time yet can't fully break through to the general public so I like chatting with anons about the psychology. Most anons that are woke on seedoils are also learning about other non mainstream health knowledge which I enjoy learning about. Finally, I'm fascinated with where the carnivore/anti seedoil/pro saturated fat nutrition field is headed. Animal based eating researchers are learning a LOT recently about optimal human diet. One new field related to anti seedoils is learning about foods that induce torpor. It turns out that much like bears you can induce weight loss or weight gain by signaling your body into a winter or spring/summer metabolic rate by simply manipulated food, micronutrients and other factors. I just find all that stuff fascinating.

Interesting do you mind giving some examples for each? (and if you know the paper feel free to link that)

To be honest it's totally over my head but I still enjoy it! One thing Brad goes into is the chemical pathways that cause the body to store or release fat and energy. He's fascinated with steric acid.

Here's a short

I really like this recent video about turnip greens, buttermilk and bears. It does a cool job of talking about homesteading diets.

You can always go back and start at the beginning of his videos as well

The stuff he's digging into seems totally revolutionary to me.

This video about spain vs france vs italy is interesting

He references lots of papers in his videos so if you need the research it's easy to find. He does have some detractors but he recently had a public debate with one of them so it's not like he's trying to hide from criticism.

Will be checking these out when I have time. I've seen a lot of good things in the literature about stearic acid and I think those studies are why the mainstream perception of animal fats and fats in general has slowly started changing.

If you haven't already read Deep Nutrition, there's a very interesting section on pre-natal nutrition and its contribution to physiognomy that I have not seen anywhere else other than that book.

Yea I have it. Definitely helped me understand epigenetics. That book is already getting dated though. The stuff Brad Marshall is talking about seems to be totally cutting edge and it seems like we will look back at this time in history as a true break through period.

I hope in the near future this research goes more in the direction of optimizing for athletes/soldiers and synergizes with the bodybuilding/sports side on nutrition and other things.

The filters I use are almost anything related to US politics, so Trump, Biden, Sanders, Clinton, that kind of stuff, COVID 19, Ukraine-Russia conflict, Israel so foreign policy, women, incel and then coomer degenerate stuff,
