When/how did Europeans convince themselves that the muslim world gave up their historical obsession with muslim forceful/violent expansion of the religion?

I suspect social pressure pushes people into making the ‘correct’ choices in these polls. Almost every normal, working class person I meet irl dislikes immigration, Muslims, trannies etc
