This is so dishonest. Ukraine is the world's 5th largest wheat exporter. Russia is the first. The sanctions on Russia are causing the food crisis, not Russian blockade of the Black sea. Ukraine has the option to ship the grain to Europe by rail.

In any case, these are secondary issues. The real reason is that China has bought up and hoarded 60% of the grain on the world food market at the start of the year and the pandemic lockdowns over two years led to refineries being shut down and its difficult to restart them.

Agriculture is fully dependent on oil and if oil goes up, food goes up. Plus, fertilizers have also spiked in price due to the supply chain disruptions.

Shelling Ukrainian sea ports has nothing to do with this then?
