One of the reasons the Nazis were able to ship western Jews to camps in the east was because they weren't considered full citizens of their countries. Vichy France refused to hand over Jews who were French citizens and only let them take recent immigrants. The idea that national citizenship isn't important or to be respected won't help any oppressed minorities in the long term. What's to stop the majority just kicking them out and telling them to go be citizens of the world? This only helps the rich who can chose where to live at a moment notice.
