Curious if you'd have the same sentiment if a different language you'd learned was the lingua franca for the world.

Anyway the ease of use and universality of English is what makes it a destabilizing force.

If Danish, Dutch, or German were the lingua franca of the world, the world would be a very different place. They are no nonsense languages that are 100% practical
