I'd make piracy legal. Piracy makes more genuine competition and leads to creating better games.

This is an interesting idea and I thought about touching on piracy in the post but decided not to. It's sort of a weird thing because you're not really stealing physical media or sensitive information, so the whole idea of having it be illegal is shaky at best.

Digital "property" on a philosophical level should've transformed how we think, but in reality it didn't happen. Just think of how many Muslims have commited one of greatest sins in Islam, destroying a copy of Qur'an, merely by hard reset of their phone or by wiping their hard drives.

On one level, yes, it is a lost sale for a developer, but on the other hand world is objectively a better place with piracy, you can properly test out the game (since they don't have demos anymore!), you can play it now and buy it later, you can decide not to buy it later because it's jewish propaganda, etc.

In fact, I bought couple of games I'd never thought of buying because I played a pirated copy.

I know developers and artists take an L in this scenario, but they gotta adapt, and it might be for their better too in the end, considering artists don't make much money through streaming services.
