Mexicans (mestizos) don't look like white people with brown skin, you would easily be able to tell the difference between a white and mexican with similar complexion assuming the Mexican isn't of fully or vast majority European stock.

George Zimmerman is obviously nonwhite as evidenced by his facial features.
