Through the internet I'v noticed that Iranians seem way less religious than Arabs who still seem to be extremely passionate about Islam. Often if you come across an Arabic video on youtube the commentary is full of comments about Allah and Mohammad even though the video has nothing to due with religion. Not only do I never see that with Iranians but I often come across Iranians who are against Islam.

There is a division among Iranian nationalists similar to the West, some embrace Islam with others consider it a foreign religion that has corrupted their potential. Most of the youth hates the Islamic regime which is probably increasing secularization and anti Islamic views among them.

Edit - Also, if you watch a city walk video filmed in a Arab muslim country most of the woman are wearing hijab that covers their whole hair and neck leaving only their face showing. In Iran which is one of the few countries that mandates wearing hijab, most women only wear a loose scarf over their heads revealing most of their hair.
